The Divisional Coordinator is an important and varied role within the College in which you will provide high-quality, proactive administrative and coordination support to the Directors of divisions and CEO to help them deliver their strategic activities and responsibilities.
As Divisional Coordinator, you will support the functioning of the relevant divisions by maintaining oversight of divisional work and College commitments, as well as contributing ideas to optimise existing processes to improve efficiency.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff you will support the CEO and digital divisions. You will be responsible for supporting the four internal committees that provide oversight and guidance across new areas of work at the College and will support the Chairs and board members by managing agendas, providing accurate notes and actions and ensuring project updates are provided in a timely manner.
Educated to a good standard, you should have substantial administrative, organisational and communication skills, along with excellent note taking and an ability to translate discussions into specific actions to take forward.
With outstanding interpersonal skills, you should have proven experience of coordinating and liaising with varied networks of staff and stakeholders, as well as having the ability to build and enhance effective working relationships on behalf of the College.
An expert in diary management and prioritisation, you will also help keep track of Directors’ deadlines and actions and prompt them as necessary on these to ensure they are delivered.
The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally, through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community.
The RCPCH has more than 20,000 members and fellows and employs around 170 staff, most of whom work in our London office in Holborn. We have smaller offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
