Training Services Co-ordinator
Band C: £32,500 - £41,500 pa plus excellent benefits (starting salary will be dependent on the candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience)

35 hours per week, full-time

As Training Services Co-ordinator, you will enjoy a varied role with a degree of autonomy driving high level customer service. You will be a key part of the Training Services team to support our primary objective to support all RCPCH Members with a role in paediatric training throughout the UK.

Reporting to the Training Services Planning Lead and working with key staff across the College and relevant clinical stakeholders, you will take responsibility for helping all Training Service Administrators by co-ordinating committee planning, as well as administering your own committees. You will line manage one of the administrators in the team and be a key contact for all training services owned committees in the Education and Training Division. Working with the Training Services team you’ll support the wider work of the team.
You will ideally have experience with committee administration and line management, perhaps gained in a healthcare, university or medical college setting (though not necessary). You will have evidence of continuing professional development and setting your own personal goals on which you reflect.


With demonstrable communication and problem-solving skills, you will be capable of proposing ideas for process change with an idea on how to transfer these ideas into effective plans.


The role requires travel throughout London and the UK, with occasional overnight stays as appropriate, in addition to occasional work outside of the core hours of 9am – 5pm (though we are following government Covid guidance). 


The Education and Training Division sets and monitors standards for the training and assessment of doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK and overseas. It also sets, monitors and administers the College examinations (MRCPCH and DCH), whilst making recommendations on the training of paediatricians including GMC certification.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health sets and maintains standards for the education and training of all doctors working in paediatrics and child health in the UK. We advocate on child health issues at home and internationally. Additionally, through a variety of activities, the College influences the quality of medical practice for children in hospital and in the community. The RCPCH has about 19,000 members and fellows and employs around 170 staff, most of whom work in our London office in Holborn. We have smaller offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
