Learning and Development Manager

The Royal Society of Chemistry is a professional body, a membership organisation and an international publisher with the goal of advancing excellence in the chemical sciences. Salary: £43,950 - £48,832 (0.8 pro rata) per annum plus benefits

About the Role:

We have a great opportunity for a Learning and Development Manager to join our HR & OD team on a permanent part-time (28 hours per week) basis.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will contribute to our strategic direction by identifying capabilities and developing, delivering and evaluating the success of training and learning and development interventions for individuals, teams and the organisation to enable us to deliver our strategic priorities and future ambition. You will be part of our HR & OD Management team, with responsibility for a circa £200,000 training budget and currently 2 direct reports.

About You:

• Previous experience managing a learning and development team or function.
• Previous experience of designing and implementing training needs analysis, designing and managing learning and development programmes and initiatives to support organisation needs.
• Experience of designing and introducing engaging performance management processes
• Analytical and reporting skills together with experience of using data to drive L&D decisions.
• Experience of design and delivery of engaging and impactful L&D solutions.
• Experience of managing talent programmes, including graduate/apprentice programmes.
