Cooperation Across Borders for Biodiversity (CABB) is a €4.9m project that will be delivered across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the west coast of Scotland. Funding of €4.2m from the European Regional Development Fund, administered locally by the Special EU Programmes Body, and match funding from the government of Northern Ireland (NI) and the Republic of Ireland (RoI), RSPB Scotland and Mines Restoration Limited has brought six partners together to deliver a five year project ending in December 2021. The RSPB NI as Lead Partner will deliver CABB in partnership with BirdWatch Ireland, RSPB Scotland, Northern Ireland Water, Butterfly Conservation and Moors for the Future.
You will provide financial, administrative and reporting support to ensure the CABB Team delivers a programme of work to enhance the conservation status of 2228ha of active raised bog and blanket bog and produce eight Conservation Action Plans (CAPs) on Natura 2000 (N2K) sites across all three jurisdictions.
We are looking for a candidate who is self motivated and prides themselves on delivering high standards. They will have excellent financial management, communication, organisational, time management and administration skills alongside a proactive attitude. They will thrive on variety and a fast paced work place. They will bring a solutions focused approach to juggling and delivering a variety of tasks. Tasks will include making claims for RSPB grant funding, auditing partner claims, planning and minuting meetings, spend forecasting, preparing progress reports, co-ordinating communications activity and supporting the administrative needs of the wider CABB Project Team. You will be ably assisted by Finance and Communications volunteers.

You will be employed by the RSPB Northern Ireland and will be based within the offices of RSPB HQ in Belvoir Park, Belfast, Northern Ireland. The CABB Programme Manager will also be based in RSPB NI HQ and other CABB 'on-the-ground' delivery staff will be employed in each country.
CABB is supported by the European Union's INTERREG VA Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
This role is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. You will be asked to declare unspent convictions and cautions at offer of employment stage.
