The RSPB and BirdLife International has a duty to ensure appropriate safeguarding policies and procedures are in place across the organisations. The RSPB has comprehensive policies and procedures in place for UK operations, so we want to apply the same standard to our International operations.
This role is truly helping to make a difference. You will be contributing to our international work in one of the most important ways. By developing this area of our work, not only will you be safeguarding people, but allowing this area of work to flourish and in effect helping us do more for threatened and precious wildlife globally.
This is an opportunity to put your Safeguarding expertise to good use in a charity setting and help the RSPB and BirdLife International improve and develop it’s Safeguarding practices. In doing so you will help ensure policies, procedures and practice are fit for purpose and children and vulnerable and protected adults across the world are kept safe from harm.
You will be working with a team of employees and volunteers across the RSPB and BirdLife who are passionate about enthusing and inspiring children and vulnerable/protected adults about nature.
We are looking for an expert in the field of Safeguarding who can provide specialist expert advice on all matters relating to the Safeguarding of children and adults at risk.
You will have knowledge of and practical experience in advising on Safeguarding matters at a strategic level and preferably with relevant international experience.
We have a friendly and supportive culture in the RSPB and our international team, safeguarding and learning and development teams will be able to support your work.
