The RSPB are looking for 2 supporter advisers to join our front line Supporter Services team.

Working within a fast paced team, you will provide fantastic customer service to new and existing supporters who contact us for advice and information on a huge range of wildlife and membership queries .

The suitable candidates will be able to work effectively, courteously and enthusiastically with RSPB supporters, professionals, staff and the general public on the phone, via email, letters, and other communication channels.

You would have some great opportunities to learn more about nature first hand and be part of the amazing RSPB team working to save nature.

What the job entails

The RSPB could not do what it does without our supporters. Supporter Services are a frontline team offering RSPB supporters and the public help with queries about wildlife, conservation, membership and other forms of support.

We are one team with specialists in one of two areas wildlife or membership, with some staff providing support to the other specialism.

We deal with more than one third of a million contacts and actions each year. Queries can relate to new memberships, donations, renewals, upgrades, changes of address, resignations, suppression's, deaths, data and business processes, paper quality, event bookings, school groups administration, brand, telemarketing, science and research, people engagement, events, campaigns, conservation policy, law, planning proposals, wildlife diseases and wildlife identification — almost anything and everything. Some supporters contact us just to reach out and talk to a friendly person.

Supporter Services manage demand generated from letters, emails and phone calls. We also respond to social media posts and moderate the RSPB Communities. We attend and support events, produce content for training, help prepare Q&A's for anticipating responses to supporters and produce materials such as leaflets and fact sheets for the general public.

We need two Supporter Advisers working to provide support in both areas wildlife and membership. Full training on databases, procedures, wildlife law and RSPB policies will be provided.
