The Head of Fundraising and Development will lead SCT’S funding proposals to large donors, Foundations and Trusts and have significant experience of writing successful concept notes and proposals. You will have a significant track record of successful fundraising and meeting substantial targets. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior fundraiser with the drive to get things done and the flexibility to work effectively within a small and effective team. Develop and implement an annual fundraising business plan which will have KPI’s and achieve income targets for each fundraising element as well as a personal income target.
Take responsibility for the fundraising budget and build a pipeline of activities to ensure targets are met. To maintain a clear view of income and expenditure forecast at all times, in line with charity and funder requirements. Providing regular reports as and when required, to support delivery, provide insight and inform the board of trustees.
Develop fundraising and communications strategies reflecting best practice in new business prospect identification, cultivation and solicitation and in account management of corporate partnerships.
Formulate the annual income and expenditure budget with support from the CEO, fundraising team and management accountant.
Report monthly on income against budgets; provide commentary on variances and take action to address shortfalls.
Attend and contribute to board and committee meetings ensuring reports are presented at each meeting.
Be an effective member of the senior management team, acting as a role model for all employees and be an ambassador for the charity in all external engagements.
Management and development of a team of three fundraisers and support these staff including monitoring training needs and managing performance reviews / appraisals.
As we are a small team you should be flexible and adaptable to any additional duties as directed by the C.E.O. Occasionally you may be required to work different hours including weekends / evenings.
Be prepared to travel regularly across London, Nationwide and occasionally travel to Thailand as directed by the C.E.O.
You may be required to travel to Thailand on an occasional basis in order to be conversant with SCT’s work, stakeholders and partner organisations.
