Safe Passage International is looking for a Grassroots Campaigns Manager to join our Campaigns and Communications team. The successful applicant will build on the organisation’s strong record of grassroots campaigning to develop groups, supporters and institutions into a powerful action-oriented network capable of achieving change.

Working closely with colleagues in the Campaigns and Communications team, you will develop and deliver a plan for building campaigning power at a grassroots level, engaging and developing groups and building alliances with influential interest groups. You will also mobilise supporters, grassroots groups and organisations to engage with local activities, local media, councils and politicians to deliver change.

The successful candidate will be passionate about ensuring that those with lived experience of seeking sanctuary and/or directly affected by the issues we campaign on lead and shape our communications and campaigns.

This is a critical time to join our work as we lead a national campaign on the Nationality and Borders Bill that calls on the Government to open new safe routes to the UK for refugees and stop plans that would break international laws by punishing refugees for taking “irregular routes” to the UK.

If you would like an informal chat about the role and your experiences, please please refer to the Job Description attached for more information.
