Safe Steps have an opportunity for a new team member to join us as a Community Fundraising and Communications Coordinator; the successful applicant will have a background in community fundraising, online and corporate giving and good digital skills. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Safe Steps public presence and brand – this will include, but is not limited to, management of digital content, print media and merchandise. You will be the first point of contact for new and existing fundraisers and donors, building strong relationships across a variety of networks, helping to promote the organisation and increase income.
The role will involve some evening and weekend working to support the community fundraising activities and events, working hours are flexible to support this.
This post is currently being delivered via remote working with occasional days spent in our Westcliff-on-Sea office. A review of the permanent location of this post will be conducted post COVID and is likely to involve a blended working environment.
This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and open to women only. Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR), Schedule 9 (Work; Exceptions), Part 1 (Occupational Requirements) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
Salary: £26,000 (pro rata)
Hours: 30 hours per week
Annual leave: Commencing at 25 days per annum (pro rata)
