Job description

37.5 hours per week • 12-month contract

We are SafeLives, the UK-wide charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse, for everyone and for good. We work with organisations across the UK to transform the response to domestic abuse. We want what you would want for your best friend. We listen to survivors, putting their voices at the heart of our thinking. We look at the whole picture for each individual and family to get the right help at the right time to make families everywhere safe and well. And we challenge perpetrators to change, asking ‘why doesn’t he stop?’ rather than ‘why doesn’t she leave?’ This applies whatever the gender of the victim or perpetrator and whatever the nature of their relationship.

Last year alone, nearly 11,000 professionals working on the frontline received our training. Over 65,000 adults at risk of serious harm or murder and more than 85,000 children received support through dedicated multi-agency support designed by us and delivered with partners. In the last three years, over 1,000 perpetrators have been challenged and supported to change by interventions we created with partners, and that’s just the start. Together we can end domestic abuse. Forever. For everyone.

The Projects Administrator will provide effective and efficient coordination of resources and support for the Project Management team. The role is vital to the smooth running of daily operations of the charity.

SafeLives’ Project Management team supports SafeLives to deliver its strategy to end Domestic Abuse. They are responsible for ensuring the planning and coordination of all projects at SafeLives. This entails working closely with, and alongside, external partners and stakeholders as well as leading on project delivery internally. This includes working with the whole organisation to ensure that good project management principles are being used in all aspects of our work, and specifically to support the Senior Leadership Team and Operational Management Team to implement and measure what we do. The Projects Administrator will be a key role in supporting the team and being at the very foundation of all we achieve at SafeLives.

Benefits include a generous package including 25 days’ holiday a year and public holidays, employee pension scheme with 4% employer contribution, Cycle2Workwork scheme, 365 days a year Employee Assistance Programme.

If this challenge sounds as exciting to you as it does to us and you believe you have the qualities we have described, please take a look over the job description and submit a 500-word cover letter, CV and equal opportunity form.

Closing date: 9.00am on 6th August 2020.

SafeLives is a committed provider of equal opportunities for all, please see our job description for full details.
