Job description

A high capacity, resourceful project manager and effective leader of staff and volunteers is needed to coordinate the operational activities to deliver the mission of Samaritan’s Purse UK both internationally and in the UK.

The major annual project is to lead all the operational and logistical aspects of resourcing, receiving, collecting, processing and exporting all Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts donated each year by thousands of churches, schools and workplaces nationwide, which are then distributed through local churches in communities of great need globally. You will also be required to assist in other relief projects as they arise.

You will excel at analysing and interpreting data and information, and producing workable solutions to a range of problems. You will enjoy building wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the organisation; relating well to people at all levels. You will have a strong record of consistently achieving project goals, working systematically but also adjusting resourcefully to contingencies.  You will have proven people and project management experience.

The job holder should be committed to the purpose of Samaritan’s Purse and be able to demonstrate enthusiasm for the Christian purposes of the organisation and be able to live out, hold to, support and contribute to its Christian ethos.
