Are you an ambitious and innovative digital leader looking to take on the next exciting challenge in your career? Would you like to contribute to increasing the success of Samaritans’ external campaigns activity, ensuring digital aspects are seamlessly integrated into all projects at every level, from traditional marketing, to fundraising and volunteer recruitment, encouraging the organisation towards a digital first mindset?

Samaritans is looking for a Head of Digital to develop and implement the engagement strategy across all Samaritans digital platforms including website, product development, social media, optimisation, email and direct comms. The role will work closely with the Head of Marketing and Head of Media as well as key contacts within the Fundraising and Service department on UX and customer journey planning for donations and campaigns, and to ensure our digital communications are fully joined up across the organisation and seamlessly embedded in all external activity.

The service provided by Samaritans’ has never been more relevant. We are there for people when life gets tough, and the demand for our service is rising all the time. We have undergone significant change in our brand and digital technology providers in recent months, and we have even bigger ambitions to transform our service to reach more people in new ways, particularly within the digital space.

We’re looking for somebody who is confident in navigating a constantly fluctuating digital landscape to carve out the best and most appropriate opportunites for Samaritans across awareness, engagement, fundraising and volunteering. You will be adept at managing relationships at all levels to ensure upskilling and information sharing around new ideas, products and services, ensuring that Samaritans’ digital presence is continually evolving.

If you have experience of managing all online communications, reporting and learning from data, maximising conversion and have passion for working out how to best serve our core user base, then we would love to hear from you.
