A little bit about the role...
We are looking for a creative and driven individual with excellent communications skills and an eye for great content to join our growing digital team and help us to tell the story of Samaritans through our digital channels.
Samaritans receives a call every 6 seconds, supporting people round the clock when life gets tough. We’re looking for an innovative social media assistant who can create and share great content, respond to messages via our social channels and identify new opportunities to help us reach the right people. The role covers a mix of news, campaigning, fundraising and everything in between, so no two days are the same and as part of the digital team you’ll be at the heart of our external communications.
Knowledge of the mental health and well-being area could really help but isn’t essential, although you will need to be comfortable working with sensitive material. Some travel and attendance at events outside of office hours may be required as part of this role but time in lieu will be offered.
Above all, we’re looking for a creative spark who is passionate about helping people, and can source and create great digital content to help us get our name out there, so that more people know where to turn when they’re struggling to cope.
