About us…


Sangam is a vibrant and respected charity in the heart of Burnt Oak that delivers a range advice, counselling and cultural services to its local community.


Operating for over 40 years, in 2018 we were awarded funding from The City Bridge Trust to set up a new debt advisory service.  Now in its second year, we’re seeking to recruit a new debt advisor who can take the project forward and deliver excellent outcomes for our clients.


The role…


The debt advisor will provide excellent service to Sangam’s clients: working on their behalf and providing them with the tools to manage their finances better, and assisting those with multiple debts and at risk of crisis. The post is funded until the 24th September 2021, but it is a role we are keen to continue and grow if additional funding can be secured.


Key activities include:


·         Delivering high-quality, bespoke casework

·         Negotiating on behalf of our clients 

·         Developing and managing our outcomes framework

·         Establishing new partnerships

·         Delivering excellent customer service


About you…


This role with will be perfect for someone with two years’ experience working in a similar role delivering money /debt advice, but who’s also inspired to make a difference to those who depend upon our services. In addition to your experience, you’ll be able to demonstrate an ability to establish trust, a willingness to go the extra mile, and always be on the look out for new opportunities that can make a difference to our services and those who rely on them.
