SASH Charity is the charity for Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH), raising funds to help patients and staff at East Surrey Hospital, Crawley and Horsham hospitals, and across the wider area served by SASH NHS Trust.

We are seeking a Fundraising Officer to join us for nine months to cover maternity leave.
The Fundraising Officer is a key role in our Charity's development, working as part of a small charity team to deliver high quality, professional fundraising and donor stewardship across a range of channels.
This will include researching and writing applications to charitable trusts and foundations, developing and managing new and existing corporate relationships, managing relationships with individual donors and community groups and playing an important role in communicating about the charity to a range of audiences, online and offline. As part of a small charity team, the role is varied and requires an organised and self-motivated individual with broad fundraising and communications skills.
The role would suit either an experienced fundraiser with proven skills in the areas above, or someone with demonstrable transferable skills from another sector.
We are looking for someone with excellent written and in person communication skills, and a clear thinking, self-motivated and organised approach.

Successful candidates will be appointed to the first pay step within the band when they start with the Trust (unless they have previous relevant NHS continuous service), thereafter individuals will progress up the pay steps in accordance with NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) terms and conditions. For part time roles you will receive a pro rata'd (proportional) salary payment based on the appropriate pay step/point and hours worked in accordance with AfC and all medical and dental terms and conditions.
Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust operate a 24 hour 365 day a year service and all nursing, clinical and operational roles will require staff to work 24/7 shifts (if required) unless you are specifically advised otherwise as part of the recruitment process.
