Job description

The Communications Manager plays a key role in gaining the support of the community for our work by creating compelling content and strategies that will inspire people to engage with us. The post holder will also be a member of the Senior Management Team and so will contribute to the strategic management of the Charity.

The key priorities for the role are:

• To lead on the development and implementation of communication plans designed to support the strategic objectives of the Charity

• Manage the production of all marketing collateral

• Manage media relations

• Lead on the development of the SASH brand

• Lead on internal communications

• Recruit for and line manage the upcoming new role of Communications Coordinator

Reporting into the Director, we’re looking for someone who can demonstrate considerable experience in:

• Managing communications for small organisations, ideally in the charitable sector

• Producing high quality marketing and publicity material covering the full spectrum of communications channels

• Commissioning and managing external agencies, including creative and PR agencie
