Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Brand Manager to help lead, develop and execute the delivery of brand building projects across Save the Children, ensuring a powerful and meaningful experience with the brand at all key touch points.

In our Marketing, Fundraising and Communications department, we fight for children every single day. We inspire millions of people, from individuals to large corporates, to support our quest for change. We go the extra mile - and we don’t rest until the work is done.

As Brand Manager you will deliver initiatives and projects that build our brand, have considerable cut through in a crowded charity marketplace and inspire audiences with our work. The role will be informed by our organisational and brand strategies and will draw on expertise and insight from across Save the Children. You will work with internal and external creative resources to develop brand communications, powered by supporter insight, which deliver against the brand strategy. You will also:

  • Manage and maintain workflow, presentations, approval processes, trouble shooting, schedules and budget management to ensure effective use of Save the Children resources
  • Ensure that insight is a fundamental component driving all projects through the development of brilliant briefs
  • Inspire and engage everyone internally with our brand, ensuring it is alive, understood and actively developed across the organisation
  • Provide input to the Head of Brand in the implementation of a brand development strategy and plan for Save the Children
  • Keep up-to-date with brand and marketing related activity in the sector, and generally maintain a strong external orientation.

To be successful you will have a track record in delivering through the line campaigns, with good knowledge of the full marketing mix: media buying, creative and digital, TV, print and film production, PR and more. With strong creative credentials and an eye for great content, you will be familiar with brand/identity guidelines and experienced in delivering compelling brand comms that deliver real results. Passionate about brands and marketing, you will also have:

  • The ability to proactively establish rapport, credibility and influence and drive results
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to liaise internally and externally at all levels
  • The ability to use insight, data and analytics to support proposals
  • Project leadership and coordination skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong planning skills
  • Experience of developing and monitoring budgets.

At Save the Children we are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children in our work. We will do everything possible to ensure that only those who are suitable to work with children are recruited to work for us. This post is subject to a range of vetting checks including a criminal records disclosure.

If you share our belief in the power of children, join the fight. It takes relentless determination, creativity and a real commitment to real change. Because every child should be able to make their mark on their world, and help to build a better future. We look forward to hearing from you.
