Job Description

We are looking for two experienced and committed individual to join us as Community Fundraising Managers to drive ambitious growth across the South East.

Our Marketing and Fundraising divisions exist to inspire millions of people – from individuals to large corporate organisations – to support our quest for change. Together, we save children’s lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential.

As Community Fundraising Manager you will:

  • Create and deliver a dynamic regional strategic plan to ensure maximum growth in income in line with our corporate and community fundraising strategy
  • Be responsible for setting and meeting ambitious financial targets across several income streams in particular prospecting, pitching and delivering on regional corporate partnerships
  • Motivate, recognise and reward supporters to ensure their long-term support of the charity
  • Help in the development of community fundraising by local groups, promoting best practice in collaborative working and encouraging the sharing of ideas and successes
  • Keep accurate records and being responsible for all personal administration, data entry, filing and financial reports
  • Work as part of a closely-knit team, operating agilely and supporting the growth and development of opportunities across the South East

To be successful you will have experience of working with corporates, community groups, volunteers and supporters and an understanding of what motivates them to support a charity and engage with a brand. A natural communicator, you will have the ability to inspire support and action.

In addition you will have:

  • Proven experience of exceeding targets and working to KPIs in the commercial or not for profit sector
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence, both internally and externally
  • Experience of prospecting, pitching and securing corporate partnerships
  • Experience of developing and delivering exceptional volunteer and supporter experience
  • Significant experience of working in a community context and securing community funding
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel where needed

Location of roles:

We are flexible on the location of the successful candidate (within the South East), however we have a preference for proximity to London.

The likely regions these two posts will cover include South London and Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northants.

It would be helpful to live within close proximity to these areas as this role will involve substantial travel across the region however this is not essential.
