Part of Fundraising & Marketing (F&M), we work in collaboration across the organisation to contribute towards SCUK's ambition to make lasting change for – and with – the children who need it most. We grow relationships with individuals, trusts, foundations and large corporates to unlock their financial support, expertise and influence. We work in partnership to drive and deliver change, leverage investment and transform children's lives.
As High Value Engagement Manager you will be responsible for devising and implementing products to engage donors and partners, leading on storytelling and communications projects, and driving key strategic workstreams to deliver the team's goals. You will design and develop inspiring and visually appealing comms, support priority fundraising asks for Partnerships and Philanthropy, and provide writing, proofing and editorial support to others in the department. In addition, you will:
- work with others team to drive forward, develop and manage new digital products
- develop strong working relationships with the direct fundraising teams in P&P, as well as with programme delivery teams and info-comms teams across Save the Children.
- represent High Value Engagement in cross-team working groups and meetings
Taking a key role in strategic projects – such as creating compelling propositions for new transformational partnerships – this is a fantastic chance to learn more about Save the Children's sector-leading approach to partnerships with businesses, philanthropists, trusts and foundations.
To be successful you will have exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a proven track record of producing innovative products, designing professional quality materials and translating complex information into compelling communications for a lay audience. Skilled at building relationships, you will have experience of working across teams to achieve your goals and influencing senior stakeholders. You will also have strong project management skills and be able to drive strategic projects. Additionally, you will have:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A good understanding of the charity sector, fundraising and global development issues
- Confident IT skills and the ability to produce professional looking fundraising materials
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience of creating fundraising and information materials for philanthropic and corporate donors
- Knowledge of graphic design and experience of working with designers and creative teams
The majority of SCUK employees are currently working remotely within the UK in line with UK Government guidance. Commencing July 2021 we will transition to flexible and hybrid ways of working (i.e. a mixture of remote/home and office-based working) as social distancing restrictions ease.
