Do you want to play a key role in an organisation which stands up for children? Join us as Humanitarian Technical Teams Operations and Planning Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring operational tools and processes are developed and maintained across the teams to support the delivery of high impact, accountable, well managed programmes of work.

As Humanitarian Technical Teams Operations and Planning Manager you will help improve our performance and quality and will improve monitoring and reporting processes that facilitate good decision making. You will also coordinator a small pool of administrative and project support colleagues to effectively prioritise and resource project activities in the team. In addition you will:
- Create and take ownership of the governance tools including operational plans, team budgets, that are needed to support the effective running of the HPHT and HTU
- Support the Finance Business Partner to create and maintain standardised cost recovery mechanisms
- Ensure up to date HPHT and HTU information is available across a range of channels to internal and external stakeholders
- Effectively represent the HPHT and HTU on the Senior Management Team of the Humanitarian Department, ensuring two-way information flow.
To be successful you will have strong project management experience and skills as well as excellent organisation and administration skills. Highly computer literate and confident with MS Office, you will also have a good understanding of financial plans, budgets and reporting. In addition you will have:
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify key points from complex material or information
- Strong facilitation experience, whether through a management, training or programming environment
- The ability to source information and achieve results from many internal and external stakeholders, some of whom will be more senior than yourself
- Excellent professional interpersonal and communication skills to a wide range of people at all levels of situations on the phone, face to face and in writing, for engagement with trustees, volunteers, staff and external contacts.
