Job Description

Fixed term contract for 12 months 

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our award winning Partnerships team, and to lead the growth and management of a number of our key strategic corporate partners.

Our Marketing and Fundraising division exists to inspire millions of people – from individuals to large corporate organisations – to support our quest for change. Together, we save children’s lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential.

As Senior Account Manager  you will be responsible for managing key initiatives within strategic global partnerships and help our account team work towards delivering revenue of £15m and achieve a significant difference to children’s lives across the globe. You will be instrumental in developing and managing multi layered high value and innovative long term strategic partnerships that raise significant funds for Save the Children. In addition you will:

  • Lead , monitor and deliver the partnerships’ strategy and objectives, including a focus on growth and exceeding income targets
  • Monitor a portfolio of key partnerships rigorously through use of targets and KPIs
  • Devise creative and innovative fundraising campaigns with corporate partners using a range of fundraising mechanics
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a PR and marketing plan for each account
  • Monitor income and expenditure and resources across the team as part of the overarching financial tracking and reporting responsibilities.

To be successful you will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience with a commercial outlook, based on a career of manging long term partnerships. Successful and ambitious, you will have solid experience in fundraising and working on multi-layered and global NGO-corporate partnerships. You should also have the ability to network with, and influence, senior people both internally and externally in order to achieve a pre-defind outcome. In addition you will have:

  • A proven track record of personally delivering to defined goals
  • Experience in managing an opportunity/sales pipeline and their results
  • Excellent project management, planning and prioritizing skills to manage a varied and pressurized workload while focusing on the ‘big picture’
  • A proven track record of delivering creative solutions to overcome obstacles and enhance profitability
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and the ability to use databases for recording and reporting.
