This is an exciting opportunity to work for two affiliated charities changing the outlook for people with scoliosis (curvature of the spine). SAUK’s aims are to provide advice, support, and information to people affected by scoliosis and their families and raise awareness of scoliosis amongst the general public and healthcare professionals. The BSRF is the only charity that exists solely to promote and fund research into the treatment of scoliosis in the UK. The BSRF also holds international symposiums to disseminate scoliosis research. You will also be expected to work for one day on the Scoliosis Campaign Fund (SCF) which is a joint fundraising venture between both the charities.
Since we are a small team, you will learn how a small charity is run and be able to support those affected by the condition.
About the role:
We're looking for a Fundraising Administrator with some experience to administer internal and external fundraising events, help organise events, and provide support for individuals fundraising for us. You will also be expected to research funding opportunities and update fundraising spreadsheets and social media pages.
Other tasks will include keeping our specialist lists updated, helping organising patient meetings, assisting with organising the annual raffle, and supporting clients who call our Helpline. This is a role that requires an enthusiastic hands-on person who is empathetic to those facing scoliosis.
