About Scope

We’re the disability equality charity. We won't stop until we achieve a society where all disabled people enjoy equality and fairness. At home. At school. At work. In our communities.

We provide practical advice and emotional support whenever people need it most. We use our collective power to change attitudes and end injustice. And we campaign relentlessly to create a fairer society.

About the role

Be a Disability Gamechanger and join our new Wales Employment Service as an Employment Adviser within our new team.  We are looking to recruit an experienced adviser preferably with employability experience.  Fluency in Welsh and English is essential for this role.

Your role will be to manage a caseload of disabled customers, supporting and empowering them to find work whilst ensuring that all programme KPI’s are met.

You will also work with delivery partners to promote our services to disabled people and generate referrals to this voluntary service.

With a base within our Cardiff Office, you will be required to travel to deliver support to our customers initially across our delivery area of Cardiff and Vale and Cwm Taf, however wider travel may be required to support the contract delivery.

About you

You will bring drive and enthusiasm to your role and can demonstrate that you care passionately about improving disabled people's lives through employment. You will have excellent negotiation skills and have the ability to positively influence employers. Being dynamic, results-driven and comfortable working to targets with a proven track record of achieving outcomes both over the phone and in face-to-face meetings will enable you to succeed within the role. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong organisational skills and experience in a similar role and be confident delivering the service to our customers on either a one-one basis or within group-based delivery.  Fluency in Welsh and English is essential.

To apply

In return we offer an attractive benefits package including 27 days annual leave, generous pension scheme and discounts at restaurants, gyms, shops and more.

Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check.

We are committed to equal opportunities. We particularly welcome applications from disabled people and guarantee interviews to suitably qualified disabled applicants.

Please apply with CV and covering letter detailing your suitability for this role.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak and following current government guidance on social distancing, interviews for this role will take place via video call. Additionally, the successful applicant will be supported and equipped to work from home for the initial period where restrictions on non-essential travel are in place

Closing date for applications:  31 May 2020.
