We're looking for an excellent facilitator and coordinator to join our team as a Programme officer. Working closely with the Growth Manager, you'll play an pivotal role in delivering, developing and coordinating the Scope Let’s Talk programme in London and surrounding areas. You will ensure that the programme is delivered in line with Scope Strategic and Growth plans, supporting staff and volunteer disabled Role Models to provide a high quality educational programme for young people in secondary schools.

About Scope Lets Talk (formerly Role Models)
Scope Lets Talk promotes 'Everyday Equality' for disabled people through education; challenging awkwardness and enabling young people to recognise disability as a social issue. Jointly facilitated by Scope staff, a disabled volunteer and driven by the Scope ‘End the Awkward’ campaign; sessions are delivered within the classroom, providing a safe space for young people to explore thoughts, behaviours and attitudes regarding disabled people
About the role
You'll be responsible for the on-going delivery of the Scope Lets talk programme. You’ll take the lead in recruiting and training local disabled volunteers, providing them with the skills and confidence needed to present and deliver in a classroom setting. Working closely with the Growth Manager and other Team members, you'll be a key operational contact; regularly and routinely liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Lets Talk is represented appropriately and delivered consistently, in line with organisational expectations. You’ll be a positive team player, enthusiastically taking the programme forward in line with Strategic and Growth plans. You’ll provide regular communications to stakeholders and volunteers alike, reporting on our progress, helping to build long-lasting relationships.
A first class coordinator with excellent facilitation and communication skills, a self-starter, you'll have an organised and structured approach to managing your workload. Ideally you’ll have experience of delivering schools programmes and/or working with young people and volunteers. You’ll have a good awareness and understanding of the social model of disability. You'll be confident, competent and enthusiastic to join Team Scope.
