Senior National Campaigns Officer

Job description


This is an exciting new role as part of a growing team at Scope. The Campaigns and Mobilisation team seeks to support and engage disabled people and other members of the public to create change. Through our campaigns we influence policy-makers, business leaders, politicians and the public.
This person will develop tactical and innovative campaigns strategies. They will work across Scope and with our National Campaigns Officer to project manage campaigns’ coordinated delivery. They will be focused on creating impact, so disabled people’s rights and needs are understood and acted on by decision-makers.
This is an initial fixed term contract of 12 months with a potential to extend.

The Role

We are looking for a proactive person with experience leading campaigns to develop campaign strategies, working with colleagues in policy, public affairs and communications. The successful candidate will project manage the campaign to make sure Scope delivers aligned campaigns activity across the organisation, and externally. They will work closely with our National Campaigns Officer to develop engaging campaigner actions, and identify new audiences to work with. They will take a lead with evaluating campaigns to ensure we continually improve and create impact.
