Six months fixed term contract
We’re the disability equality charity. We won't stop until we achieve a society where all disabled people enjoy equality and fairness. At home. At school. At work. In our communities.
About the role
We're looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring volunteers have a great experience.
To help us create a fair and equal society for all disabled people, we need to build a movement of people committed to achieving social change. Our volunteers are integral to this. We involve volunteers in our network of retail shops, services, fundraising events, office teams and community engagement work.
In this varied role, you will support and manage multiple projects, deliver and improve our volunteer awards scheme, support development of training and resources for volunteers and volunteer managers, respond to enquiries from potential volunteers, and provide administrative support to our team.
Within our vibrant head office, you will be a crucial player in a small Volunteering team which acts as the organisation's volunteer management experts, developing and improving the volunteer experience, supporting and empowering staff to deliver quality experiences, and working with teams across the organisation to develop new volunteer roles and programmes.
This role requires solid administrative, IT, customer service, communication skills, experience of collating and analysing data, and knowledge of volunteer management best practice. Your previous experience of project coordination and organisational skills will enable you to manage multiple priorities to deadlines.
As a disability equality charity, Scope strives to make all opportunities to get involved as inclusive and accessible as possible. We offer a guaranteed interview scheme for disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria. We're open to considering adjustments that make this role more accessible such as an alternative location, job share or flexi time.
