We are "Scotia Youth" a new start-up young people’s charity that aims to empower young people by providing new opportunities and life experiences in a fresh, vibrant, fun, engaging and inspiring approach, where we will deliver highly effective engaging, fun and impactful programmes that UNITE young people and communities for a more equal and tolerant society, EDUCATE young people in life, social and work skills, EMPOWER a generation of young successful, confident, effective and responsible leaders and active citizens, and CHANGE the negative stereotypes society can have of young people by promoting the good that young people do.
Come join our community as our Trustee, where you will play a vital role in helping us provide strucutred strategic direction and planning, good governance and ensuring we have all the resources needed to run Scotia Youth, as well as providing advice and support to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team.
This volunteer opportunity is flexible and can be done around your availabilty, however our Quarterly Trustee Meetings take place in evenings (anytime between 6 and 9pm) and on weekend daytimes (anytime between 11am and 5pm).
We are looking for a wide range of skill sets and especially looking for Trustees with experience in the following areas;
- Bid Writing/Fundraising
- Strategy Writing and Developing
- Senior Management Experience
- Project Management
- Youth Work or Experience of working with young people aged 11 to 25 years old.
- Monitoring and Evaluations/Measuring Impact
- Trustee and Charity Experience
- As well as other relevent experience that would benefit Scotia Youth and young Scots.
