We are "Scotia Youth" a new start-up young people’s charity that aims to empower young people by providing new opportunities and life experiences in a fresh, vibrant, fun, engaging and inspiring approach, where we will deliver highly effective engaging, fun and impactful programmes that UNITE young people and communities for a more equal and tolerant society, EDUCATE young people in life, social and work skills, EMPOWER a generation of young successful, confident, effective and responsible leaders and active citizens, and CHANGE the negative stereotypes society can have of young people by promoting the good that young people do.
As a Youth Charity, we believe its vital that the charity is run by young people, for young people and so we are looking to recruit a number of Youth Trustees (aged 16 to 25 years old) who will support the CEO in leading Scotia Youth by getting involved in shaping the charity, making decisions and helping us reach out to young people and providing the activities and prorammes young people want and need. You will be the YOUTH VOICE and will have a huge impact and say in Scotia Youth and what it is we will be doing and how we are run, including getting involved in many areas from fundraising, to running activities and much more.
This role requires approx. 8 hours per month, and includes meetings where you will give us your ideas and suggestions, and development activities to shape and improve the charity and also other activities to help the charity. All these take place during the evening (6-9pm) and on occassional weekend daytime.
