£30,000 to £35,000 per annum pro rata depending on skill and experience.
Permanent, Part-time, Full-time
Job description

Scotts Project Trust, based in Tonbridge, Kent, supports and cares for adults with learning disabilities by delivering excellent services in a friendly, nurturing environment where people gain the confidence and skills to lead fulfilled, happy and independent lives.  We are now looking for a dynamic leader to guide our Day Services through an important stage of its development.

Our unique offering is that we provide high standards of care, support and development across our three linked services: our Residential Care Home for 15 people; our Supporting Independence Service with independent living accommodation for 9 tenants and our on-site Day Service which provides courses and activities to over 80 students each week.  Scotts is governed by a committed Board of Trustees with a wide range of experience and we are looking for an inspiring and ambitious individual to bring passion and leadership to this exciting opportunity.

The Role - Reporting to the Chief Executive, the role will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Day Services, taking responsibility for developing strategic, marketing and business plans and ensuring financial sustainability.  The Head of Day Services will lead and motivate the dedicated team of staff and volunteers in the delivery of an exceptional service and build on our significant achievements to grow our income and promote our work.

The role will also lead the development of our profile and engagement with our stakeholder community – including fundraising, events and facilities hire – and the associated marketing, social media, networking and marketing efforts.

The Person - You will be a caring and people orientated leader. You will be able to demonstrate an inclusive approach alongside marketing, management, communication, networking and team-building skills.  With an ambitious and results-driven approach, you are able to move easily from the strategic to the practical and can demonstrate a genuine capacity to address opportunities and challenges.  Along with excellent ‘business’ and IT skills, you will have a genuine commitment to sound governance, policies, processes and controls in a regulated environment where the safety and well-being of service users is paramount. Industry experience is desirable but not essential.

This is a flexible role that may be between 22.5 and 37.5 hours per week (across three to five days) and the salary range is £30,000 to £35,000 per annum pro rata depending on skill and experience.
