NOAH is a charity which exists to create a fairer and more equitable society, where the immense value and potential of people experiencing poverty and disadvantage is realised. We prevent and relieve homelessness, specialising in supporting people facing multiple disadvantage.
We supported 2,514 individuals last year - with 623 people moving into more stable housing, 1,200 people receiving training or advice, and 96 people securing employment. 53% of those we supported were non-UK nationals.
We are looking for a motivated individual with a real passion for our mission of alleviating poverty and bringing hope to join our committed, talented, and friendly team as Head of Services. As a critical member of NOAH's Senior Management Team and as designated Safeguarding Lead, in this role, you will contribute to the long-term success of the charity by:
· Leading and developing high-quality homelessness support services
· Building and nurturing stakeholder relationships
· Consistently improving quality, impact, and safety within services
We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record overseeing statutory-funded and homelessness support services. The ability to operate at a senior and strategic level, drive organisational development and growth, and lead teams through change would be highly valued. A strong record of building and maintaining fruitful stakeholder relationships based on trust is crucial to realising our organisational goals. Excellent understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice, as well as knowledge of the migrant support landscape and legislation, will be instrumental in our continued success.

About the role and team
Working within the wider Supporter Acquisition and Retention teams, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging onboarding journeys for Shelter supporters, ensuring engagement is high throughout. You’ll be responsible for leading the strategic direction of the Individual Giving programme, making data-informed decisions to deliver outstanding supporter experiences.
Leading the team, and matrix managing other pipelines of work, you will be supported by the Head of Supporter Acquisition to deliver multiple projects concurrently. This role is crucial within the team, allowing the team to provide £20m of unrestricted income across Supporter Acquisition, Supporter Retention & Development, and Direct Dialogue.
About you
You will be an experienced Fundraiser, or have worked in a direct marketing environment, and be audience led and supporter centric.
You will also have:
- An understanding of how to develop engaging supporter journeys from point of recruitment
- Strong people skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and with flexibility
- Effective project and campaign management skills, with experience of managing multiple projects or campaigns at once
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Effective management and leadership skills

The Youth Services Manager is a key senior position leading on the design and delivery of Caring in Bristol’s services tailored to 16-25 year olds. The postholder also acts as the safeguarding lead for the organisation.
Our youth services take a person-centred relational approach. Our youth team stand alongside young people, working together to tackle the barriers to stable housing. This role also has the exciting opportunity to shape our innovative new small-scale accommodation provision.
As the Youth Services Manager you will play a key role in developing our work supporting young adults that prevents or stops the development of a homelessness crisis.
There are two key services which this role would oversee:
· “Project Z” - Ongoing one-to-one floating support by specialist youth practitioners for 16-25 year olds, many of whom will be experiencing multiple disadvantage; a key objective is building trusting relationships that can help to facilitate positive change.
· “Z House” - A project launching in Spring 2024; an innovative new model for short term youth accommodation for 18-25 year olds in Bristol, delivered primarily by community volunteers. We are in the final stages of constructing the space and the initial service design, with the aim to pilot the concept for the next 12 months.
Both services incorporate group work, drop-in activities and co-production to ensure we are making them accessible to young people who may not usually participate in more traditional support models.
The role will work closely with our other operational managers to ensure that our volunteer management, data systems and performance monitoring are best practice.
The role will have line management responsibility for project staff including the Senior Youth Practitioner, Shelter Coordinator and some oversight of volunteers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead on the coordination, delivery and development of our youth-focused services.
- Leadership of the youth services staff team, providing line management, pastoral support, supervision and development opportunities.
- Develop effective collaborative networks and partnerships with relevant organisations that support young people in Bristol, promote the broader work of CiB, act as a representative of the charity.
- Work closely with the Head of Operations and Prevention Services Manager to develop a consistent approach and operational resilience, including participating in the on-call support rota for all services.
- Act as the Safeguarding Lead for Caring in Bristol, with the support of the Head of Operations and Deputy Safeguarding Lead, providing organisation-wide support and advice to ensure concerns are captured, acted upon and escalated where necessary.

We have an exciting interim opportunity for a Chief Executive to oversee the management of the operations of a small homelessness charity in Worcester.

About the role:
As Chief Executive Officer (CEO) you will be working for a Worcestershire based charity that supports the homeless and vulnerable, you will have responsibility for the management of the operations of the charity as well as setting their overall vision and strategy. The role involves pivotal decision making affecting the future of the charity and its employees.
The Chief Executive Officer is the main driver of the charity and through the Chair, is ultimately accountable to the Board. Within this role, the CEO will be expected to oversee all operations including service development, operational management, fund raising and marketing analysis.
About you:
We are seeking an inspirational and experienced leader with the skills and knowledge to manage this incredible charity, you will need to bring with you the following skills and experience:
- Experience in leading an organisation effectively, motivating teams and helping to improve staff performance
- Experience of working within a charity setting
- Previous experience of or working with vulnerable adults
- A commitment to the provision of high quality service for vulnerable people
- Strategic vision and an ability to adapt services as the needs of service users change
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of Office programmes and able to produce detailed written and oral reports including grant applications
- Experience of managing a budget
- Able to communicate to a variety of audiences appropriately
Although not essential, an understanding of legislative context around homeless in the UK would be beneficial for this role.
