Knowledge, skills & experience
- Proven experience in a senior marketing role
- Experience of website and campaign management, able to produce high quality content
- Excellent writing skills with a proven ability to craft compelling messages
- Experience in print, digital media production and publications. Able to manage external marketing & comms consultants and media relationships.
- Advanced IT and digital skills. Knowledge of graphic design tools and basic video editing software is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing and communication strategies.
- Lead innovative campaigns across various channels, including digital, social, PR and events
- Build and manage the brand.
- Digital marketing including email, SEO, and website optimisation.
- Create compelling content, including website and marketing collateral.
- Develop and manage the website ensuring it is developed with knowledge of user experience (UX) and accessibility principles.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media partners, agencies, and influencers to maximise brand exposure.

We are looking for an experienced CEO or senior charity manager, able to manage the business functions of a charity that is just starting out. You will have a proven track record of managing a small, prosocial organisation and setting up the systems necessary for success. You will have skills to work strategically, have business management skills, be able to lead and grow a team and work relationally.
As CEO an important goal will be to put the charity on a firm foundation for long-term sustainability. You will work with our fundraising consultant to ensure a steady income stream of core funding, ensuring financial stability for employees and building partnerships with local organisations to maximise impact and sustainability through collaborative work and partnership bids. This requires considerable, skilled networking and relationship-building, both within the Church’s Community Hub, with our existing partner VCFSE organisations and in the wider sector, including local Councils, PCNs and the ICB.
You will also be principally responsible for the organisation’s HR function, risk and compliance, as well as its monitoring and evaluation of impact (for quality assurance and fundraising purposes). This means ensuring best practice is observed and maintained in these and related areas, including line management, service policy, financial management, safeguarding and data privacy.
Knowledge and/or lived experience of mental health difficulties and the relevant support services/treatment modalities is essential; experience working within the mental health sector is highly desirable. We are seeking someone who is passionate about mental health and views this role as an exciting, long-term opportunity to make a significant difference to the lives of thousands of adults in Birmingham. Join us as a Housing Management Officer and you could soon be providing vital support to our Housing Manager Lead, as together you help us plan and organise all regulatory housing management activities. Conducting regular inspections on properties, overseeing void reporting and assisting with the delivery of relevant data and analysis of voids – these are just some aspects of this interesting and varied role that’s all about delivering good quality homes and services to our tenants and residents.
To succeed, you’ll need Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 3 Certified Practitioner status (or equivalent) and an excellent understanding of void management, bad debt and maximising income, plus the relevant regulatory requirements.
You’ll also need experience of working in a customer-focused environment or service and an understanding of the issues associated with individuals who may have complex support needs. Comfortable working in partnership with other key agencies and local communities, you’re also adept at identifying and monitoring key compliance in respect of health & safety requirements relating to properties and tenants. What’s more, you’re well organised, great at negotiating and developing effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and happy to provide housing training to colleagues.
