World Vision is the world’s largest international children’s charity. Every day we bring real hope to millions of children in the world’s hardest places as a sign of God’s unconditional love. At World Vision, our aim is simple – to keep every child free from fear. We are also proud to be voted one of the Top 100 ‘Best Not-For-Profit Organisations to Work For 2015’.
As Senior Finance Manager you will be one of 5 senior Finance leaders within our Finance & Risk (F&R) Group. You will be responsible for driving strategic direction and operational performance within the Finance Team. Each leader is assigned to a particular function within the team, which could either be management accounting, finance business partnership, financial accounting and control or audit and taxation. You will therefore be assigned to one of these roles upon appointment, dependent upon where your skills and experience best fit and also upon the needs of the team.
With a strong understanding of business activities in general, you will implement these to demonstrate how F&R will support risk management and delivery of value. Developing and driving F&R strategies, policies and procedures to influence improvements within the organisation will be key, and you will also have the chance to advise and direct certain stakeholders in relation to the role to which you are assigned. All the Senior Finance Leaders are responsible for contributing to the Centre of Financial Excellence to promote effectiveness, efficiency and prioritisation of procedures and operations.
To be considered, you will need to be fully qualified (eg. ACA/CA, CIMA, ACCA would be ideal) with solid post qualification experience in a financial management role. Ideally, you will have experience of managing and developing a team and it is essential to have effective skills in influencing and gaining commitment and interest from non-finance professionals regarding financial matters.
As a Christian, this role offers you the opportunity to integrate your Christian faith and be sensitive to its various expressions across cultures and denominations.
In addition to the salary offered, you’ll enjoy benefits including pension, health cover, subsidised gym membership, generous holiday entitlement and free parking.
Do you have the necessary skills for this key role? If so, we’d like to hear from you.
