Job description

Sense are recruiting Buddying Project Assistants to support with the delivery of a high quality, child-led and person centred buddying service for children and young people with complex needs in Redbridge.

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week. This role is fixed term until August 2021, with possible extension.

About the role 
In this role you will support young people and volunteer buddies to develop strong relationships, and will enable children and young people to access and enjoy the leisure activities and opportunities that they are passionate and interested in.

You will ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe manner, taking into account the individual needs and wants of the people we support, and providing a balance between accessible risk taking and keeping people safe.

About you 
We'd love to hear from you if you have experience of supporting and working with children and young people with a range of disabilities; including sensory needs, learning differences and autism.

You will be an excellent communicator with a commitment to providing a fun, safe and accessible environment.
