Islington, London
Between 22900 and 22900 GBP per year
Job description
About the role

Sense has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Short Breaks team as a Programme Assistant. This full time position will initially be homeworking, but will be based at our head office in King's Cross, London, post pandemic, with regular travel around London.

Sense short breaks are community programmes connecting disabled children and young people to local volunteers. Our programmes enable the children and young people we support to have fun, spark new interests, and build friendships via a mix of 1:1 and group work across East London.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and growing London team, which sits within a large specialist organisation. We are hiring two permanent positions to support separate programmes. Both roles require flexible working patterns including evenings and weekends (time off in lieu will be given) – for one of these posts the working pattern is Tuesday to Saturday.

Key skills and experience

We'd love to hear from you if you are motivated to support and work with children and young people with a range of disabilities; including sensory needs, learning differences, and autism. You will be a clear communicator with a commitment to providing a fun, safe and accessible environment. You will be organised with the ability to self-direct and prioritise competing tasks.
