(SEO London) is a UK-registered charity delivering superior educational, training, and mentoring support to young people from underrepresented and underserved backgrounds. SEO London programming is focused on pre-professional development, career access and long-term success within elite global industries. SEO London was launched in 2000 and has subsequently delivered two decades of transformative leadership in the UK workplace diversity and inclusion segment. Candidate Profile

We are looking for a personable proactive candidate, a marketing and communications professional who is digitally savvy, with a strong work ethic and passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. Given the high-pressured environment we work in, the team is looking for people who enjoy taking initiative and can thrive amid challenges while always committing themselves to learning. Candidates should have strong marketing and communications knowledge in addition to a genuine passion for everything digital, and interest and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications and experience:

  • University Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, PR, Communication Studies, journalism or similar
  • Minimum of one year as a social media co-ordinator, marketing co-ordinator, community manager or similar role, working across a variety of traditional and new platforms
  • Savvy and experienced in planning, running, monitoring, and reporting social media: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, Pinterest and LinkedIn
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for social media and content creation
  • A keen eye for design and the ability to layout marketing and communications assets to brand standards
  • Keen eye for details and excellence in execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to research, summarise and present data and results to high standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A marketing communications mindset, proactively suggesting ideas for change/improvements
  • Highly organised

Essential Skills:

  • Experience using photoshop, InDesign, Canva, and video creation and edition software such as Premiere Pro, Finalcut Pro, Windows Movie Maker, VSDC Video editor or other
  • Experience using web management software such as Wix, or the ability to quickly learn how to use it
  • Experience or sound knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation
  • Comfortable using social media planning, monitoring, measuring, and reporting tools such as Google analytics, Hootsuite or other digital web and digital traffic platforms

Main Duties & Responsibilities

The co-ordinator will work closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing. They will play an important role in supporting SEO London and the teams with all aspects of marketing and communications, with a particular focus on managing our digital channels and digital content creation.

The work includes but it is not limited to:

  • Assisting with the day to day running of the marketing and communications tasks 
  • Executing the social media strategy for new and existing programmes and events and ‘always-on’ organic content. This includes scheduling, posting, moderation of such content in all formats, in line with the organisation’s strategy
  • Assisting in the creation and running of external communications tools and assets such as newsletters
  • Contributing ideas for marketing the programme and positioning with students and alumni
  • Supporting the Marketing Communications and Outreach team with the creation of marketing communications materials in all formats, such as the day-to-day production of localized digital brand assets in all formats, including video and print
  • Support the Director of Communications and Marketing with the creation of communications assets for media purposes. This includes research, inventory, cataloguing and updating of existing and new data, stats from SEO London database and industry reports
  • Support the communications and events with our external partners and stakeholders
  • Support the team in organising and arranging testimonials of SEO London candidates and alumni for media and other communications purposes and platforms, such as the website
  • Other ad-hoc projects that support the marketing communications strategy of SEO London


To deliver SEO London’s marketing and communications activities effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed, and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. Such duties will, however, fall within the scope of the role. The job description will be subject to periodic review with the post holder to ensure it accurately reflects the duties of the role.
