This role will be working within the Care & Support department, and managing Origin Young People, mental health and Assessment & Support services in Camden, Enfield and Watford. The role is responsible for around 12 staff working across several services. Staff provide support and assessment services to young people leaving care, people with enduring mental health needs and vulnerable people living in the community. One of the services provides extended hours support 24/7, including bank holidays.
The post holder reports directly to the Assistant Director of Care & Support and Community Development, and attends departmental management team meetings. It is likely that the role will develop.
We are looking for someone with experience of issues affecting young people, those mental health / vulnerable people and staff management experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage services operating in the community, to manage risks and ensure staff work to pre-set hourly timetable.
The ideal candidate will be an effective manager, with a can-do attitude and a caring approach to providing individually tailored services to sometimes challenging client group.
The candidate needs to demonstrate effective communication and joint working with stakeholders, Commissioners and Community Mental health teams. This role is also subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
