About the role
Shelter is looking for a co-optee on the Committee for Resources and Internal Systems (CRIS). CRIS is the Board sub-committee which ensures Shelter has adequate resources that are properly and effectively allocated and our internal systems and processes are suitable to meet our strategic objectives and Shelter's charitable purposes. CRIS oversight includes Finance, Budget, Income Generation (Fundraising and Retail), and HR.
In the wake of big changes in the retail environment, Shelter is looking for a someone with experience in large footfall retail operation with an ability to provide operational and strategic solutions. This person would work closely with the Director of Income Generation and their team to review the retail strategy following on from Covid-19. The role is as a full member of CRIS, and the successful candidate would be also expected to contribute on all the other matters discussed at CRIS. You will need to commit to attending all committee meetings, visit our shops regularly, prepare fully for all meetings, work for the organization and actively engage in discussion, debate and decision making in meetings.
