If playing a key role in helping to deliver Shelter’s Corporate Partnerships Fundraising strategy and securing high value, long-term support from the private sector to help tackle the housing emergency is a challenge you'd rise to, read on. Join us in this key role as New Partnerships Manager and we’ll provide the infrastructure, the strategy and the rewards, including flexible working. All you need to bring is experience of achieving new business targets in the corporate or charity sector and the ability to think strategically and bring ideas and concepts to life via written proposals and pitches.

Our mature fundraising programme has seen continuous year-on-year diversity and growth and our fundraising directorate generates over £44m gross income, much of it unrestricted, thus giving us an exceptional level of investment flexibility. In terms of structure, our High Value Partnerships team covers Major Donors, Trusts & Foundations, Legacies and Corporate fundraising, with Corporate Partnerships split between Partnership Management and New Partnerships - which is where we need your expertise.
About the role
Join us, and you could soon be using your creativity and expertise in relationship building to identify and secure new partnerships that will help us achieve our ambitious goals. Your focus will be on securing partnerships with an annual value of £75k+ by working to identify and develop both strategic and chosen charity partnership opportunities. We’ll also rely on you to collaborate with our Senior New Partnerships Manager to find innovative ways to engage businesses with the cause, grow prospect relationships and secure investment from the private sector.
Someone who’s keen to build and develop a career in business development and fundraising, you have a real desire to work with companies to help tackle homelessness. You also have some experience of corporate fundraising or business development, a personable approach and the ability to build a strong network of potential opportunities to generate income. A good understanding of, and ability to, apply commercial and financial principles to improve business performance, is important too, as is a proven ability to engage a range of stakeholders and convey your ideas succinctly and persuasively.
