About the role
Thanks in part to our campaigning over the years, housing is now high on the public and political agenda. We now need to turn this into change that genuinely transforms people’s lives. We have ambitious goals to increase the levels of housing activism right across the country, and part of the role of the Campaigns team is to support and help to build that movement for change. This particular role will see scoping and developing campaign strategies, and delivering exciting and effective campaigns and campaign moments. You’ll also be responsible for line-managing members of the team and managing project teams to ensure delivery on a range of objectives and building a variety of relationships both inside and outside of Shelter.
A strategic thinker, you’ll enjoy seizing opportunities to be part of timely, strategic and inspiring campaigns. A background in campaigning, organising or activism is essential, as is openness to innovative development in how we use all the campaigning tools in the toolbox to bring about change. Confident in your ability to build the relationships needed to bring about change, you manage and facilitate teams in a way that ensures everyone is heard and feels ownership of the change they’re a part of too. Above all though, you’re passionate about making a difference to one of the biggest social justice issues of our day.
