An opportunity has arisen for a credible and confident HR/People Partner to join our small HR team. This is an exciting time to be joining us as we reposition our team following the many challenges of the pandemic and the recent introduction of a new HR system.

The HR/People Partner is a broad generalist role at both an operational and strategic level and will deal with sensitive and complex people management matters. The role will provide guidance and support to managers within the client groups and to deliver a proactive HR service in relation to performance management, recruitment and retention, learning and development, change and project management and employee engagement.
You will have a relevant HR qualification or equivalent work experience and need to be able to evidence experience of wide-ranging HR skills.

HR Business Partner Requirements:

You will need to be a clear and influential communicator in order to be able to advise employees, coach managers and manage the HR volunteers. Your client groups may include Nursing and Care staff, Fundraising, Retail, Finance and IT. It would be ideal (but not essential) if you had prior experience of working within the NHS, Retail and/or charity sectors.

The client groups are based in Christopher’s hospice in Guildford, Shooting Star House in Hampton and at our various retail shops - this role will require frequent travel to these locations and you will therefore need to be a car owner and driver in order to support your client groups and attend meetings at our offices, hospices and retail locations. There will also be flexibility to work from home as part of a hybrid working pattern.

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: circa £40,000 per annum
