Education Worker North West England
Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) is the UK’s leading anti-racism educational charity. The aim of the organisation is to combat racism through delivering anti-racism education.
We are seeking to recruit a part-time (14-21 hours) Education Worker to work throughout the North West of England.
NJC Pay Scale 5: Points 12 – 17: £22,183 - £24,491 (pro-rata) 6% pension
The post primarily involves delivering anti-racism education programmes to young people in schools, but also to adults in their workplaces or through their trade unions.
We are still delivering much of our adult education work virtually but we are delivering more and more of our schools work in person (in line with government and local advice, and with covid risk assessments in place), therefore we travel is an essential part of the role.
Other aspects of the role include developing educational resources and creating bespoke workshops, some elements of admin work such as completing booking forms and handling enquiries, and supporting educational events of the wider team.
The North West is a new region for Show Racism the Red Card and this is a very exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant, growing team. We are currently working from home but are hopeful to establish an office base, likely in Greater Manchester in the coming months.
We strongly welcome applicants with lived experience of prejudice and from marginalised communities, we celebrate the diversity of our team.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:
- Experience of delivering educational activities – whether to young people or to adults
- The ability to engage diverse groups of participants.
- Commitment to anti-racism and other forms of inequality
- Ability to develop new educational ideas and activities.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent IT skills
- A full driving licence and access to car
Please download the application packs and return by email.

If you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of the closing date, please assume that you have been unsuccessful.
