Job Description
Title: Finance and Logistics Officer
Location: Kaduna, Nigeria
Salary: Local Terms & Conditions apply
Contract: 2 year fixed term contract
Sightsavers is enhancing the quality of the Inclusive Education Programme (IEP), of which will focus on the education of persons with disabilities, and this role will lead the progression of this work through formal Education and the Inclusion Works Programme (IWP) and on the economic empowerment of people with disabilities via formal employment.
The post holder will manage financial control and risk and ensure the policies and procedures of the contact are followed, with emphasis on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, audits, verifying claims, and being compliant with local regulations and governance requirements.
Tracking, monitoring and inventory analysis of the programme and supplies is vital, as is implementing and maintaining fleet logistics, movement and equipment protocols, including pre-travel authorisation and travel insurance. Supporting, administrating and strengthening financial management and capacities of partners will help develop and provide grant manager support in accordance with the contract, as well as ensuring partners comply with the policies and procedures and retain financial and drug reports.
The successful candidate will possess a degree (or equivalent) in the relevant field, with a professional accounting qualification being an added advantage. They will ideally have extensive experience working within an INGO environment, prior financial management of donor funds and have a background working in a multidisciplinary team in a health sector setting.
