Do you believe everyone should have a place to call home and the chance to lead a fulfilling life?
SHP (Single Homeless Project) is one of London’s leading homelessness prevention charities and a dynamic and growing organisation changing 8,000 lives every year across London - from supporting people in crisis, to helping them take the final steps towards independence and employment.
Our Hammersmith and Fulham services are comprised of one high support hostel and two medium support hostels, housing 23 clients who have experiences of mental health concerns and some with additional complex needs; including substance use and offending behaviour.
As the Senior Project Worker, you will be responsible for supporting the staff team, alongside the Service Manager. You will play a key role in achieving the aims of the Project by supporting the Service Manager to operate an assertive accommodation based service of High-Medium services. You will also support the team to operate in line with best practice, as well as support a team culture of learning and reflection.
To be successful, you will have a strong understanding of housing management services and be able to demonstrate an effective approach to supporting clients in maintaining their licences and tenancies. You will also be resilient, innovative, flexible and creative, with a commitment to working collaboratively and within a recovery framework.
The successful candidate will be provided with a diverse range of work experiences within the role, excellent training opportunities and the opportunity for progression; within an organisation with a history of internal staff progressing into more senior roles.
You will work on a rota basis completing early, late, sleep-in shifts, including weekends and Bank holidays.
Closing date for applications: 31st May (at Midnight)
Interviews to be held: 8th June 2020
This post will require an Enhanced DBS check to be processed for the successful applicant.
