The Team Administrator will provide a range of administrative and personal support to the
Archbishop's Chaplain and the wider team at Bishopthorpe Palace. They will also act as one of the main points of contact for visitors and callers and will be expected to work closely and collaboratively with the other Team Administrator to ensure duties are always covered.

Purpose of the role: 

• To facilitate introductory training workshops for kinship carers across England, as part of the national training team, through an annual programme of Kinship roadshows and in-person and online workshops.
• To contribute to the continual development and improvement of the Kinship training programme by developing new content and refining existing materials in line with insight, data, and feedback from kinship carers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Co-facilitate professional, high-quality training to kinship carers in England.

• Experience managing challenging or sensitive situations during training while maintaining clear boundaries, using Kinship's safeguarding framework where necessary.

• Ensure training is accessible, inclusive, and adapted to meet the diverse needs of participants.

• Meet training KPIs, including participants reporting they feel better supported (90%) and have increased understanding of the subject (80%).

• Contribute to the continuous development of training resources using insights, data, and feedback from kinship carers.

• Maintain a consistent and engaging approach across all training experiences.

• Use Salesforce effectively as the case management system to support training delivery, learning, and evaluation.

• Demonstrate confident and frictionless use of Zoom, including breakout rooms and interactive tools, to deliver engaging online training sessions.

• Actively support and contribute to a high-performing, inclusive, and supportive team environment.

Essential knowledge, abilities, skills and experience includes:

• Substantial experience delivering engaging online and in-person training and workshops for diverse audiences.

• Proven experience in professional facilitation using a range of techniques to engage participants.

• Demonstrable expertise using Zoom (including breakout rooms and tools) and PowerPoint to deliver high-quality training.

• Experience managing challenging or sensitive situations during training while maintaining clear boundaries.

• Proven ability to deliver training that achieves measurable impact and learning outcomes.

• Demonstrated use of a non-judgemental approach reflected in both language and behaviour.

• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills with high attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and work innovatively to achieve positive outcomes for kinship carers.

We are looking for a compassionate and driven Independent Gender-Based Violence Advocate (IGVA) to join Refuge’s Athena service in Lewisham. In this rewarding frontline role, you will support women and children affected by domestic abuse and other forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG), providing high-quality advocacy, practical support and safety planning to survivors at the highest risk. Working as part of a specialist team, you will play a vital role in helping survivors regain safety, stability and control over their lives. You will also take part on managing our Helpline Service, by managing new referrals from survivors and other partners, and responding to daily enquiries from partnership agencies, public and impacted individuals over the phone and email.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of domestic abuse; trauma and the barriers survivors can face when accessing support. You will be experienced in risk assessment, multi-agency partnership working and delivering survivor-focused support. Excellent communication, advocacy and relationship-building skills are essential, alongside the ability to work sensitively with women in crisis and manage a varied and demanding caseload. Experience within the VAWG sector is desirable, together with a commitment to equality, empowerment and inclusive practice.

About the role

We’re looking for a Community Forester to help deliver woodland creation and management projects across Raise: Cumbria Community Forest.

This role will support the delivery of woodland creation and restoration projects with landowners, contractors, communities and volunteers across a range of sites. You’ll coordinate delivery on the ground, support contractor management and work directly on practical forestry activities as part of a small and growing team.

This is a role that involves working across Cumbria, including regular visits to woodland and rural sites.

You will need to be comfortable working outdoors in a range of weather conditions and undertaking physically active work on uneven terrain.

The role includes practical forestry delivery, contractor coordination and community-based delivery activities.

A full UK driving licence is required.

You will regularly work with landowners, contractors, community partners and volunteers across a range of delivery environments.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who can:

· support the delivery of woodland creation, management and restoration projects

· coordinate contractors, partners and site activities

· work with landowners, communities and volunteers

· maintain accurate project and site records

Experience in forestry, woodland creation, conservation, farming or similar outdoor sectors would be an advantage.

Reporting to: Accommodation and Facilities Manager

Location: Baca office, Loughborough, England. The role will require regular travel to other locations where Baca’s services are delivered

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week including some evening and weekend hours may be required

Overall Purpose

To provide maintenance support to the organisation, ensuring premises are maintained at a standard that will serve the mission of Baca. This will include properties across Loughborough and 2 office sites.

Duties Responsibilities

• Organise and conduct required maintenance at all Baca sites. The below list is not exhaustive but some of the below skills will be required to fulfil the role; General Plumbing; bathroom and kitchen plumbing repairs, blocked toilets & sinks etc, Painting and Decorating, Basic carpentry skills, Meter Reading for electricity and gas meters, Fire Testing; routine testing of smoke and CO alarms.
• To become familiar and actively use the Baca’s maintenance management system which aids the reactive and planned works across all sites.
• Communicating with contractors, residential workers and landlords as required, ensuring repairs and maintenance is conducted when planned.
• Administering quarterly checks, quarterly cleans, health and safety requirements and annual servicing such as: PAT testing and Gas safety on properties and reporting issues for follow up.
• Working alongside the Premises Manager, administer the Health & Safety checks on all Baca properties including the offices, to ensure regulatory requirements are met and associated paperwork is completed.
• Support in the setting-up and closing down of properties and rooms between moves.
• Administering the setup and set-down of rooms for young people moves between Baca properties, ensuring the rooms are ready for new young people.
• Ensuring the office and car parks are clean and tidy, ensuring visitor experience is positive, professional, welcoming, friendly and helpful.
• Assist the Premises Manager and Finance Manager with year-end Fixed Assets verification.
• Supporting with other administrative activities in line with the team needs.

General:

Personal Specification

Baca is looking for someone who can help the organisation with the housing maintenance and day to day function of all properties it houses young people in and our offices. The successful applicant will be motivated and passionate about the work that Baca does and the young people in our care. They will be very organised and practical, able to get on with tasks that need doing on a day-to-day basis, managing a varied and busy workload. They will be very approachable and enjoy working on their own as well as part of a team and supporting others. The successful applicant will need access to transport as the role requires travel between the properties that Baca manages including the transportation of items to the properties.

The successful applicant will have a personable style that is in line with Baca’s vision and values. Someone who is supportive, approachable, responsible, reliable and personable.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience

• Good knowledge/understanding of the building and maintenance process.
• A good awareness of general health and safety, especially regarding maintenance work.
• Ability to use computers well, with experience in Microsoft Office and on-line email systems.
• Experience of prioritising workload to meet competing deadlines.
• Advocate of customer care including experience of dealing with a range of client queries/concerns in a professional and understanding manner.

Skills/Abilities

• Experienced in the use of hand tools and familiar working with timber, basic plumbing materials, furniture building, decorating and gardening.
• Excellent personal organisation with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a number of tasks at any one time.
• Self-motivated to complete a varied workload.
• Working well as part of a team is essential.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to interact well with staff, contractors and visitors to the office and other properties.
• Ability to work to deadlines and respond in a flexible way to the changing demands of Baca’s work.
