The Role

The Head of Income Generation will play a critical role in bringing this mission to life through compelling storytelling, strategic relationship-building, and entrepreneurial fundraising. You’ll create a powerful case for support that inspires existing and prospective funders, while identifying new avenues for growth across trusts and foundations, major donors, and corporate partnerships. Hands-on and proactive in your approach, you’ll lead on crafting compelling proposals and funding bids, building meaningful relationships with supporters, and delivering effective stewardship. Managing the full fundraising cycle, you’ll be motivated by turning opportunities into long-term partnerships and ensuring funders feel genuinely connected to Build Up’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a 3-year fundraising strategy focused on securing sustainable funding and diversifying income streams
• Build and manage a pipeline of both core and project funding opportunities, conducting robust prospect research to identify and cultivate new donors alongside opportunities to grow existing partnerships
• Write compelling funding proposals to trusts and foundations with emphasis on securing multi-year 5 and 6-figure funding
• Drive the growth of additional high-value income streams, including major donors, corporate partnerships, and other strategic fundraising opportunities
• Deliver effective stewardship and relationship management, ensuring funders feel engaged, valued, and connected to Build Up’s impact, while overseeing all reporting and communications
• Take ownership of the CRM system, ensuring accurate data management, effective reporting, and efficient processes to support fundraising activity and strategic decision-making
• Commission and manage a communications consultant (Year 1) to develop and deliver a strategy for reaching new audiences
• Commission and manage an evaluation consultant (Year 2) to redesign Build Up’s evaluation framework, strengthening evidence and communications

• Proven track record of developing and delivering successful fundraising strategies that drive sustainable income growth across high value fundraising streams
• Demonstrable experience securing and managing trust and foundation funding
• Experience working with other high value supporters such as major donors and corporate partners
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and clearly articulate Build Up’s impact

What’s on Offer
Salary: £50,000 - £54,000 FTE

About the Role

We are looking for a Youth Voice and Influence Officer to support the delivery of high-quality, inclusive Youth Voice & Influence (YV&I) initiatives across the NYA, ensuring that young people are meaningfully involved in shaping programmes, influencing decisions, and leading their own advocacy. We’re looking for a Community Fundraiser to help grow the base of people that support Himmah. You’ll lead on things like our fundraising dinners and challenge events, build relationships with supporters and local partners, and help grow our regular giving. This isn’t just about hitting targets  it’s about building something that people feel part of, and creating ways for communities to support and sustain the work over the long term.

• Lead on fundraising events, including community dinners and challenge activities
• Build relationships with high net worth individuals, supporters and corporate partners

Who we are

Every year, thousands of people in the UK face court alone. Often through no choice of their own, people must represent themselves at a moment that could have life-changing outcomes. This includes loss of access to children or homelessness. At the same time, people facing court alone may find themselves up against a party with legal representation. They are instantly at a disadvantage and overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenges they are up against. We supported unrepresented litigants in the civil and family courts in England and Wales over 45,000 times last year.

We provide a safe space with volunteers who listen to each client’s individual story. Last year, over 1000 volunteers helped people to get their thoughts in order, problem-solve and decide next steps, source relevant and reliable legal information, explain complex procedures, complete court forms, and clearly present statements.

At a time when legal support is increasingly limited, we have a vision that no one should have to face court alone.

The role 

Support Through Court is establishing a legal advice clinic for money claim matters under £10,000, for a one-year pilot. Advice will be given to clients across the national service network who have been internally triaged to the clinic.

The role involves day-to day management of the clinic and supervising law students as they facilitate client appointments, conduct research and draft letters of advice. Clients will predominantly be supported remotely with occasional in-person appointments and advice “drop-ins” in the local area. You will train and supervise students to help them gain practical legal skills in a clinic setting, having final sign-off of completed letters of advice/oral advice to ensure clients receive an excellent service.

You will embed the legal advice offering of the clinic into the organisation, increasing and developing referrals from our national service network and supporting staff understanding of referral ability.

The opportunity:

The Investment Operations Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational activities of investment funds. This role ensures the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of fund processes, including trade settlement, reconciliation, operational checks for cash management, and data management. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with attention to detail and an understanding of financial markets. 

What you will do:

• Monitor and support daily fund operations, including trade processing, settlements, drawdown checks, account opening

• Perform reconciliations across custodians, brokers, and internal systems to ensure data accuracy, counterparty management

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Location: We are a UK-based business with an office in the Old Street area of London, accessible via a number of public transport links. Colleagues typically spend 40% - 60% of their working hours in the office, and the remainder from home. However, the exact requirements for this role can be discussed at interview. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Adult Learning, Skills and Employment to join our Senior Management Team and lead one of our core service areas.

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a wide-ranging, community-based service that supports local residents to develop skills, confidence and pathways into employment. Bringing together our Community Education & Training provision and Employment & Careers services, the role is responsible for ensuring a cohesive offer that supports hundreds of individuals each year from community learning through to work.

A core element of our provision is the delivery of high-quality adult learning, including functional skills (English, maths and ICT), ESOL, community wellbeing, family learning, pathways to employment and selected vocational courses. Our services are shaped by both community need and funding priorities and continue to evolve in response to local demand and emerging opportunities.

Employment support also forms an integral part of our wider offer, both through embedded progression support within Adult Education provision and through separately funded programmes for priority groups, including younger jobseekers (18–24) and older residents (50+). This requires a flexible and responsive approach to programme development, partnership working and service delivery.

Our current provision is primarily funded through Lambeth Adult Learning and the Greater London Authority, with a combined annual budget of approximately £750,000 per year. A significant focus of the role will be overseeing the successful delivery of these contracts and services, ensuring high-quality provision, strong performance and meaningful progression outcomes for residents.
