Working within our Young Peoples' services, the Team Leader will hold responsibility for ensuring that a holistic and cohesive model of customer support is embedded across their patch. Look Ahead operates trauma and psychologically informed approaches, ensuring that our customers benefit from being supported through strengths-based practices.
The post holder will be fully involved in all aspects of the day to day management of their designated services, including line managing the relevant front-line staff. You will lead and develop competence of direct reports as well as carry caseloads of customers requiring support. You will work closely with the Contract Manager to ensure that the service delivers on all targets, both financial and those around the quality of the service.

What you'll do:
* Lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
* Deliver effective supervision and team meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting and communication
* Responsible for the personal development of staff, identifying high performers and feeding into the organisation's succession plans
* Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) required as part of the Contract are met and recorded correctly
* Develop key business relationships with all appropriate relevant customers/external parties to ensure service delivery excellence and maximise new business opportunities in own patch
* Participate in and monitor the initial and continuous assessment of needs and ensure that support planning is carried out in line with assessed needs of the customer
* Carry out other administrative tasks as relevant to the service and directed by the Contract Manager/Heads of Operations
* Deliver an out of hours on-call service for region, where required
* Ensure that all safeguarding cases are managed in line with safeguarding protocols and are reported to Contract Manager/Head of Operations, as appropriate
* Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies are always adhered to and to uphold all health and safety responsibilities within relevant policies and local protocols
* Ensure that all other Look Ahead policies and procedures are adhered to
* Engage positively in reflective practice sessions with colleagues.
* Carry out other management duties commensurate with the designated role level, as may be deemed reasonable by Look Ahead, including the management of other teams within the designated patch, or an alternative patch, if such a need arises

About the role
We are looking to recruit a permanent multi-skilled advocate to join our busy Berks multi- disciplinary team, working up to 37 hours per week, minimum of 28 hours, starting salary £23,611 per annum, (pro rata).
In this exciting role you will be acting as an independent advocate supporting clients to ensure they get their voices heard. This may include providing advocacy across a number of different strands, such as the Mental Capacity Act, Care Act and Mental Health Act.
What we need from you
We are looking for someone who has the creativity and enthusiasm to support people in difficult circumstances, ideally has experience in a health or social care and may have their own life experiences relevant to the role. If you haven’t got advocacy qualifications it’s not a problem, we will provide the required training.
As this role is home based with regular travel, mainly but not exclusively in the Berkshire area, you must have access to both a stable home broadband service and easy access to transport as well as flexibility with working hours.
There may be times when work is required outside normal working hours so flexibility is required.
We also need you to live within Berkshire or surrounding counties.

The Trumpington Affordable Food Club Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the food hub and its team of volunteers, including presence at the food hub on Friday mornings, and transforming it into a Fairbite Affordable Food Club (Social Supermarket).
Organisation of the Food Hub:
- Prepare inductions for new volunteers

The Health Awareness Coordinator role at Age UK Redbridge, Barking & Havering is an excellent opportunity to work within a small team on an established community health project in the London Borough of Havering, which helps to improve the health and wellbeing of local residents by identifying and recruiting Health Champion Volunteers within the borough.
My Health Matters is commissioned by London Borough of Havering (Public Health) and aims to inform, support and signpost residents to relevant local resources and empower them to adopt healthier lifestyles.
The role requires organising Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) Health Champion Training for people living and/or working in Havering and other health related training. You will be responsible for researching and organising events and relevant health literature to promote the project, engaging and building relationships with local stakeholders, supporting national Public Health campaigns. You will also be responsible for securing retention of trained volunteers using regular and effective communication. The role includes promoting the service at meetings and outreach events and organising focus groups with Health Champions. Undertaking administration to record any data collected from events, training and Focus Groups for monitoring purposes will be required. The role will also entail management of Health Awareness Officer, Admin Support Officer and volunteers.
Successful applicants will have relevant knowledge in health awareness issues in a paid or voluntary capacity. They will need to be excellent communicators and able to work effectively both one to one and as part of a team as well as supporting and motivating volunteers. Good computer skills and accurate record keeping are also required. Be flexible with both working hours and with other duties arising as the project develops. Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
While carrying out activities, Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.

As a Support Worker you will be expected to enable and support vulnerable individuals with complex needs to address this while maintaining their tenancy with the long term goal of living in an independent setting by providing flexible and individually tailored support package.
