The St Mungo’s Pan London Rough Sleeping Teams (No Second Night Out and Somewhere Safe to Stay) provide a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough. We are currently looking for people to join our teams as Night Reconnection Workers in our Staging Post services. In these roles you will:

Work as part of a busy team environment working closely with those affected by rough sleeping.

Provide a safe and supportive environment at night to clients; and support a team of Assessment and Reconnection Workers, with key tasks; such as implementing reconnection or assessment plans and supporting clients into appropriate accommodation.

Work on a 7 day weekly night rota pattern with an average of 3 waking night shifts in a row (for example 8pm–8.30am or 9pm–8am)
About you

Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post. Specialist Support Workers provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. As a Support Worker you will be expected to enable and support vulnerable individuals with complex needs to address this while maintaining their tenancy with the long term goal of living in an independent setting by providing flexible and individually tailored support package. Working with excluded and hard to reach customers can be challenging, however, with intensive support this challenge can be broken. You will need to be able to engage our customers in a non-judgmental way. You will also be responsible for dealing with emergencies that may arise during your shift whilst remaining calm and using initiative then writing up incident reports amongst other administrative tasks.
You will be responsible for supporting the working shift pattern of the service which is a five week rolling rota which consists of working some weekends as well as long days.
There will be a rota for shifts, with working patterns of 7:30-15:30 and 12:30-20:30. There will be some weekend work.

Hilldrop Road is a registered care home providing long term accommodation, support and care to up to 29 men with a history of alcohol misuse, homelessness and mental health conditions, with related physical health needs. The service has staff working on a rota basis including evenings and weekends as well as bank holidays and sleep-in shifts.
As a Project Worker, you will
- Be involved in undertaking lead working activities such as referrals/interviews/booking in clients and housing management activities such as finances, meaningful activities, health and wellbeing.
- You will assist our clients to develop and care for themselves and build their quality of life by providing advice and guidance on personal development and maintaining their independence.
- You will lead the support in partnership with Care Assistants in washing, dressing and medication, and support with domestic care including shopping and light housework.
- You will also provide high quality comfort for clients in their home.
About you
To succeed, you will either have personal experience of homelessness or a sound understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people and those with mental illness of substance use difficulties. You should also possess good interpersonal and listening skills, in order to be able to establish an effective working relationship with clients and an eagerness to learn and work with clients in a holistic and person-centred approach.

The Sybil Levin Day Service is a specialist SPECAL-Led day service supporting people with dementia and their carers using the SPECAL method.
You will be part of a small team at the Specialist Day Service and use an innovative person-centred approach to support people with dementia.
This post requires that you will provide personal care including assisting people to use the toilet as required and assisting people to have a bath as required.
