We currently have forty one centres and extension projects across England and Scotland. We are seeking a Support Specialist who will be integral to our mission to help people with a brain tumour to be less isolated, better supported and more confident on their brain tumour journey.
There is flexibility here to suit your needs, preferences and experience. You could work from home, or at our office in Leeds. There is however a preference for geographical location in London, South Wales, Bristol or Liverpool areas.
What’s involved
Working closely with brainstrust’s Director of Services, you will be trained to deliver the Charity’s revered, impartial and impactful coaching and information service for people living with a non-malignant brain tumour, and their families.
You will instil empowerment and control in those living with a non-malignant brain tumour, dramatically improving their wellbeing. You will play a key role in helping us towards our vision to be readily available to as many of the 80,000 people in the UK who are living with a brain tumour, and their caregivers.
You will:
- Continue to grow the impactful community for people with a non-malignant brain tumour through face to face, online, phone and email support, social media engagement and running workshops and events for brain tumour patients and their caregivers.
- Be willing to coach and be coached. Rigorous support and recognised training will be provided.
- Support with ensuring that every non-malignant brain tumour patient and their caregivers work with us to secure the best possible outcome.
- Refer potential fundraising opportunities to relevant members of the brainstrust team to ensure the sustainability of the project.

Career Pathways equips young disabled people with knowledge and confidence. The service enables them to fulfil their career aspirations and personal goals.
As a Careers Adviser you will be giving careers advice to young disabled people in schools across Leeds, at our office and online. We are offering a hybrid model of delivery so working from home for part of your week is available.
About you
- You will have experience of supporting young disabled people to build their confidence and work towards their goals. This could be in either an education or social care setting.
- You will have the confidence to deliver 1:1 and group sessions. These will take place in person and online.
- You will be able to produce clear and relevant action plans. These action plans will aid customers to explore and achieve their career goals

About the role:
As a Housing Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for tenants, providing general and intensive housing management services. From tenancy sign-ups to addressing property concerns, your role will be vital in sustaining excellent communities and ensuring tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering housing management services, particularly for vulnerable tenants
- Handling general and intensive housing management responsibilities, including tenant engagement and resolving any tenancy breaches

About you:

- At least 3 years’ experience working with the Tenancy Standard, Tenant Involvement and Empowerment Standard and the Neighbourhood and Community standard
- Knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to the role
- Experience of delivering excellent customer services that meet individual needs.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve objectives.
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- The ability to drive and have a reliable vehicle available to use for work purposes with business insurance.
- CIH, IRPM, or equivalent qualification or degree (desirable).

Regional Partner Quality Manager
Location You will be remote working with occasional travel to meetings and events. UK based roles.

Fuel Bank Foundation is the only UK charity to focus on the challenges of people living in fuel crisis. We provide emergency financial support through our network of partners who identify people who cannot afford to pre-pay for their energy.
As the Regional Partner Quality Manager, your role is to ensure that the delivery of the partner expectations is met. This will be achieved through strong relationship management and working closely with stakeholders across the organisation. You will be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills who is looking to work within a growing charity.
Some of the key responsibilities in the role are:
· To manage relationships with Fuel Bank Foundation partners in your region.
· Working with a team of stakeholders across the organisation to ensure the partner experience is delivered to the highest standard.
· You will be the point of escalation for partners, offering full support as and when required.
· To support all partners with training, including in person and online training.
· To monitor the partners, use and produce reports.
· To address all issues before escalation.

We are looking for someone who is a great communicator, is results focused and holds strong organisational skills. You must enjoy working with a team and be able to manage your own time. You will hold strong administration skills with experience of using Microsoft Office for documentation and presentations.
An understanding of the energy or this charity sector would be desirable but is not essential.
Plus, experience of working with volunteers would be a strong advantage.
