We are seeking a confident and experienced Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant with a wide range of skills and importantly, a ‘can do’ approach. As a Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant, you will provide high quality practical and emotional support to potential victims of modern slavery within a safehouse setting.
You will work as a member of the team providing a safe temporary environment for vulnerable adults who have experienced trauma and exploitation. The role will involve assisting service users with increasing practical skills and self-confidence to empower and enable independent and safe living.
This service is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Applicants must be willing to work flexibly, which will include on call duties, evenings, weekends and bank. Both roles will work between two properties approximately 4 miles apart on a rota basis.
The 30 hour per week post will be shifts from 4pm-10pm, 5 days per week, however, the initial induction will consist of day shifts until knowledge of safe house is comprehensive.
You must have experience of working with vulnerable adults, the ability to work within a ‘risk associated’ environment and ideally experience of working within a residential or community setting with non-UK citizens. Relevant social care qualifications or suitable experience of supporting vulnerable people is essential.

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.
Our vision is a London where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.
We rescue surplus food from businesses, supermarkets, restaurants, and farms. This food is nutritious, in-date, and safe and includes a high proportion of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. Purpose of the Job
Your role as a Packing Assistant is to assist the Head of Packing with the smooth running of the packing area of Felix’s Kitchen and the correct packing, storing and distribution of all meals and components. You also assist the Senior Chefs in the smooth running of the kitchen.
You are responsible for maintaining the quality and standards of the kitchen and ensuring that all meals and/or components of meals are packed correctly.
You assist other staff and volunteers when they need help, ensuring the smooth running of the operation.

The Refugee & Migrant Services Caseworker will join the Refugee & Migrant Services Support Team, who work alongside our ESOL team and volunteers to meet clients’ needs as directed by the R&MS Team Leader. - Welcoming and providing holistic integration support to resettled refugee families, empowering them to live independently with less support as time goes on.

Our ESOL service was established in 2017 and now runs 5 days per week and offers English lessons for resettled refugees and an English Club with an emphasis on learning skills for integration into UK society. This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.
The role will be predominately based in and around Salisbury with occasional travel to the Trowbridge office.
Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.
The exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.

· To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.

Context of role:
The Director of Operations is a Senior Leadership role supporting the CEO in the strategic leadership and management of 2wish. We are in an exciting transition period where the organisation is expanding and this is a new role in our staff team that has been created to support our ambitious CEO to deliver our new strategic plan whilst ensuring we maintain operational excellence and high performance.
One of our greatest assets is our kind and caring staff team who consistently adhere to the high standards required by our CEO, our Board of Trustees, our funders and our families. We are searching for an experienced, positive and thoughtful individual with a strong background in operations, office management and people management. The successful candidate will play a central role within our dynamic team with a focus on developing and overseeing the smooth running of our internal systems and processes, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, developing and managing our team, monitoring performance and helping to develop our services and support families and individuals.
The successful post-holder will join a supportive Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the CEO, working collaboratively with the Director of Transformation and closely with the Heads of Support, Finance, Fundraising, and Marketing and Communications, to effectively deliver services in your remit, namely; Organisational Development, Compliance, Governance, IT, Systems and Facilities.
Hours:
Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu
Annual leave:
28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.
Pension:
2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).
Mileage:
A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.
Location:
2wish currently offers a form of hybrid working and this will continue for the foreseeable future. This post will continue to include home working, with the expectation on the successful candidate to travel to 2wish Head Office regularly. Applicants living in border counties to Wales will be considered, but the applicant must be willing to commit to regular travel to Head Office.

Daily tasks:
Oversee the front reception desk
Work alongside the whole team, and be willing to carry out any reasonable task which furthers the work of The Branch
Volunteer Recruitment
Source and recruit volunteers through various techniques (databases, e-mail, social media etc.)
Work with Outreach staff to spot potential volunteers amongst those with whom we work. Help volunteers to take the first steps towards employment, further training or other engagement through meaningful volunteering opportunities
Take volunteers through the Safer Recruitment process
Conduct volunteer orientations and regular training sessions to ensure a thorough understanding of our organization's mission, values, and expectations.
Work with the other agencies with whom we collaborate to understand their volunteering needs, and signpost potential volunteers to other appropriate roles
Regular reviews with volunteers, including looking at performance and potential training opportunities
Scheduling and Coverage
Coordinate the various teams to ensure adequate coverage for all necessary tasks and events.
Communication and Updates
Establish and maintain regular communication channels with volunteers to provide updates, share relevant information, address concerns and ensure they are satisfied and well-placed.
Disseminate information for upcoming actions and events.
Celebrate success, and organise annual “Thank you” events for Volunteers, including Christmas “thank you”
Record- Keeping
Keep detailed records of volunteers, complying with all GDPR requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of volunteer information, hours, and activities.

Safeguarding
Train to join the team of Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL).
Safely recruit all volunteers, including carrying out DBS checks at the prescribed intervals
Maintain and monitor the log of all staff and volunteer Safeguarding training and ensure that all safeguarding is up to date at an appropriate level for each role.

To support BAME Carers to review and re-assess their Carers Assessments and Peace of Mind for
Carers contingency plans in line with local authority procedures. To provide information and support
to Carers to reduce the impact of their caring role.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Contact all Carers whose Carers Assessment/POM4C plan is due for annual review.
• Ensure that Carers Assessments/POM4C plan reviews are carried out with at least 90% of Carers who are due for an annual review.
• Consider if a Carer may have substantial difficulty in being involved in the assessment review process under the definition provided by the Care Act 2014 and ensure the Carer has suitable advocacy support.
• In undertaking the Carers Assessment/POM4C plan review, support the Carer to identify and communicate whether there have been any changes since their assessment that impacts on their caring role.
• Where there have been no changes since their assessment, ensure the Review Form is complete enabling the Carer to continue to receive the same levels of support.
• Where there has been changes since their assessment, undertake a re-assessment to determine the Carer’s eligibility under the Care Act 2014 using the National Eligibility Criteria.
• Where Carers needs for support meet the eligibility criteria, develop and deliver in partnership with the Carer a care and support plan, that is proportionate to the assessed needs.
• Where there has been changes since their assessment, use the Local Authority Resource Allocation System (RAS) to determine a Carers’ payment. Commission Carers’ payments, explaining the payment process to the Carer.
• Ensure that Carers who are ‘not eligible’ in accordance with the Care and Support (Eligibility Criteria) Regulations 2014 are provided with advice, information, signposting and referral on to meet current needs and prevent/delay future needs.
