ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting role to lead on Safe Ground's programme delivery, including content creation and producing, with a strategic direction!

SIG Safe Ground is an award-winning charity which delivers high-quality, group work interventions to people in prison and community settings. 

Our arts-based therapeutic group work focuses on relationships and identity, particularly in reclaiming and reframing imposed identities while offering access to new perspectives, creating opportunities for discussion and debate, and inviting participants to take risks, experiencing themselves and each other in new ways.

You will report to the Head of Criminal Justice Services and line manage the programmes coordinator, as well as work closely with our services based within HMP Lowdham Grange and HMP Altcourse. You will lead on the development of new creative work, identifying gaps and opportunities, working alongside various teams to open new business opportunities to secure funding, and facilitate the programmes we deliver, mainly in prisons and community settings. We are looking for someone to bring a new creative outlook, able to be agile and think of new ways to promote Safe Ground, and develop our resources, this could include delivering theatre productions, films, and podcasts. 

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9 - 5 although you may need to work outside these hours as required. The role will be hybrid, working from home, our central office in Islington, and able to visit various sites across London, Nottingham, Liverpool, and additional locations as required. 

Please note: This role will include the need to undertake additional prison vetting as part of the onboarding process as occasional service delivery in prisons forms part of this position.

ABOUT YOU

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PROGRAMME DELIVERY

• Manage a network of delivery sites and ensure contractual compliance, in locations which include but is not limited to prisons and community settings.
• Oversee the development of additional creative content including but not limited to theatre productions, short films, events, and other media products.
• Co-facilitate group work programmes, working in partnership with relevant colleagues, and external stakeholders.
• Work closely with teams to monitor and gain feedback, evaluate, and develop programmes to ensure they are fit for purpose and drive engagement. Ensure revisions are implemented and coordinated organisation wide.

CREATIVE LEAD

• Create and deliver engaging high-quality programmes which support rehabilitation, reintegration, and reablement for participants in various stages of their personal journey which can be used as the core curriculum for various delivery teams.
• Design and deliver high quality training and quality assurance support to management and delivery teams across the SIG network.
• Support with the creation and dissemination of social media content and other content to enhance SIG Safe Ground’s reputation and brand.

ORGANISATIONAL GROWTH

• Provide strategic operational leadership and direction for Safe Ground, support with the continuation of finding new and existing opportunities working alongside various leadership teams.
• Lead on new contracts, supporting teams to ensure new contracts are implemented to a high standard following correct processes and policy.
• Coordinate aspects of promotion, recruitment, and evaluation of Safe Ground’s programmes.
• Build and maintain a positive reputation for SIG and Safe Ground, represent the group at wider meetings which could include networking meetings, events, delivering various presentations, new business meetings, and other relevant places.

LINE MANAGEMENT

• Provide high quality support, leadership, and line management to staff, offering guidance, support, and advice to the team to support them to perform to the best of their abilities.
• Provide leadership to employees throughout the employee life cycle. This includes but is not limited to; Recruitment, onboarding, inductions, probation reviews, support and supervision, employee relations, performance, learning and development, staff wellbeing and support, grievances, sickness, disciplinaries, retention and other areas which fall within the employee lifecycle.
• Proactively embed a culture of learning, development, reflection, and evaluation in a psychologically informed environment.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position. 

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Understanding and/or experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours
• Previous experience in contract management and reporting of projects or programmes
• Previous experience in facilitation of programmes and/or training for various groups
• Previous experience in people management and development
• IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software
• Ability to create, develop, and deliver new programmes and/or creative content in various settings such as prisons, communities, and wider criminal justice settings
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
• Ability and willingness to travel to various services and work within the prison setting

What we would like, but not essential:

• Relevant professional qualification in applied theatre, drama, or a field related to programme delivery or health and social care in criminal justice system
• Previous experience in developing, producing, and/or performing professional productions for example film, television, or theatre productions
• Previous experience with commissioners, supporting or contributing to research and evaluation projects
• Previous experience in supporting winning new contracts for example in bid writing or fundraising activities
• Financial Management experience: Budget setting, analysis, and cost reduction

Are you passionate about improving support for families affected by substance misuse?

This could be the perfect role for you! The Family Support Worker is an exciting role within a growing and dynamic team, where you can help to make a real difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Lambeth. 

Having identified a gap in the identification of young carers and adult carers looking after someone with substance misuse issues, over the past year we have successfully piloted a project to identify and provide long-term support to these carers. We are now entering the second year of the project, and are looking for a new Family Support Worker to bring their expertise, enthuasism and ideas to the next stage of the project. 

The Family Support Worker will work across our Young Carers and Adult Carers Service to provide support to families affected by substance misuse, through whole-family assessments and reviews. The successful candidate will ensure that adult and young carers, and their families, have access to a range of emotional and practical support appropriate to their needs.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of working within the substance misuse field and an understanding of associated health and social issues. They will preferably have experience of working with both adults, children and young people. We are seeking candidates with a professional qualification in health & social care, youth or community work, and/or direct experience of delivering family focused interventions.

Salford CVS has been working with Salford City Council’s Early Help Team on the first and second years of the Family Hub work. Our role has been consulting with communities through the Seeds of Change Box and Wishing Tree project, engaging Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector organisations and volunteers. We also manage a Family Hub small grants scheme providing small grants to VCSE organisations to support them in delivering their services as part of the Family Hub partnership.

• Families (communities of identity)

The Navigators will work with individuals to explore ‘what matters to them’, consider their strengths and interests, and identify an appropriate activity or service and connect them to it. Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. Purpose of the Senior Communications Officer role:   

As Senior Communications Officer, the successful candidate will be a creative, agile and impactful professional, who will play a pivotal role in shaping Women’s Aid’s communications campaigns, working closely with the Communications Manager and the Head of Media, Brand and Relationships. The successful candidate will take the lead on generating creative, engaging content and ideas for Women’s Aid communications – including major campaign moments and brand awareness. Working across all external channels, including traditional media and social media, you will curate compelling stories that build our profile and target key audiences in our mission to keep women and children safe from domestic abuse. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time, as we mark our 50th Birthday with some powerful campaigns and engagement. 

Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Communications Officer: 

• To be the key communications officer representing the communications team, developing the key messaging of external campaigns, brand-building and communications for the organisation and developing public awareness of these.

• To lead on planning, drafting and implementing a communications plan for Women’s Aid key communications campaigns such as International Women’s Day, 16 Days, as well as wider organisational projects, incorporating press and social media and providing media support as required. 

• To develop relevant media and social media contacts, as well as contacts in the sector, to maximise the reach and coverage of key communications campaigns as well as wider organisational projects. 

• To work with colleagues to ensure the campaigns take an intersectional approach and centres the most marginalised voices. 

• To work with a diverse range of survivor case studies and media spokespeople, including Women’s Aid member organisations, and to ensure they are treated in an appropriate and safe manner.

• To help identify both proactive and reactive media opportunities. 

• To write blogs, news articles and promotional copy for Women’s Aid.

What we are looking for in our Senior Communications Officer: 

• At least two years experience working in communications/journalism/publications or similar. 

• Experience of liaising with a variety of individuals and organisations of all seniorities, internally and externally. 

• Experience of maintaining systems for information storage and retrieval.

• Experience of online communications/websites/social media, including Content Management Systems. 

• Experience delivering public-facing campaigns with a range of stakeholders. 

• Experience in getting effective PR results. 

• Ability to produce high quality written material, for copy writing, copy editing and publicity materials, posters and press releases. 

• Capable of translating complex information into audience-friendly messages.

Main duties and responsibilities:

IT

· Ensure all staff have IT equipment from their first day of work, ensuring that they are able to access the IT support they need with minimal interruption to daily tasks.

Facilities

· Support with office management processes (ordering stationery and equipment).

· Support in the efficient use of premises (organise key holder rota, complete regular checklists).

Administration

The Arboretum is the UK's year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion

As a Chef you will be operating within one of two full-production kitchens within two separate buildings (Remembrance and Aspects) to supply catering across multiple outlets including self-serve 380 cover restaurant, table waited functions room up to 500, coffee shop, 'pop up Foodservice outlets within the grounds of the Arboretum and hospitality. We are open daily from 10:00 till 17:00 7 days a week, we do some bespoke evening events in our Aspects building throughout the year.

If successful, the main duties of your role will be:

• Consistently maintain high standards of food service and provision to meet the expectations of our visitors
• Adopt operational responsibility for one area within the kitchen (for example one of the preparation areas, baking, hot meal production, etc)

• To operate across two full-production kitchens within two separate buildings to supply a 380 cover self-serve restaurant, table waited functions room, events and functions hospitality, coffee shop, and 'pop up' outlets within the grounds of the Arboretum.

• Ensure that the methods of preparation and presentation comply with the standards set by the Executive Head Chef
• Ensure that all areas within the kitchen and dining room areas are clean and tidy at all times, and all relevant documentation is up to date
• Daytime and evening Events catering up to and including formal banqueting for up to 500 attendees

You will have experience of working as a Chef in a busy kitchen together with a catering qualification and food hygiene training.  Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential together with the ability to work under pressure. 

You will be working 5 days out of 7 with the occasional evening work at events.

Age UK Kensington & Chelsea offers dementia services which make a real difference to residents affected by the condition living in the Borough. Those services include advice, practical help, befriending, social activities and emotional support. The Dementia Support Worker is responsible for managing a caseload of individual clients, providing practical and emotional support to the most isolated and vulnerable in our community. The support takes the form of weekly or bi-weekly visits to the client’s home, as well as contact by phone and email and liaising with social care and health professionals as directed by the client’s wishes or needs.

This role requires the worker to work independently and manage their own caseload. With other members of the Dementia Services team, the Dementia Support Worker will also help with transport, group activities, trips, events, training and local forums.

We are seeking a Part Time Dementia Support Worker (up to 21 hours per week)

 We are recruiting a Project Coordinator to oversee the delivery and development of a flagship Community Wellbeing Project, which operates in partnership with Brent Council. The project is a Community Hub hosted in a community space in Stonebridge (not in Sufra’s existing premises). Members of the project can access a Community Shop, a Community Café and Kitchen, and holistic support in the form of Advice casework and workshops. The objective of the project is to deliver food aid alongside wraparound holistic support in way that improves the financial, physical and mental wellbeing of its members, who are struggling with the cost of living.

This collaborative project has been made possible due to the support of multiple partners and has already proven highly successful. It is likely to form the basis of a new model of support for people experiencing vulnerabilities that will be replicated across Brent and possibly elsewhere in London.

The Project Coordinator will oversee the delivery of the project, ensuring both the shop and the café operate effectively and in accordance with agreed standards and procedures. The successful candidate will help shape the project in the months ahead, whilst supporting guests, collecting data, and monitoring and evaluating the project. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy and varied environment, managing multiple priorities at the same time. They will have experience in a customer-facing role, dealing with the general public and managing volunteers. It would be beneficial for the post holder to have experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs from a wide variety of backgrounds. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for members that sign onto the pilot project, and will be representing the organisation to external partners. This role is responsible for providing high-level support, managing complex projects and engaging with a wide variety of people on behalf of the Chief Network Officer. This role acts as a key point of communication with internal/external contacts, coordinates cross-organisational processes and projects, and manages the office, including liaising closely with senior members of the Operations and Network Programmes directorates.

Job Purpose: To develop and manage, to a high standard, Age UK Bromley & Greenwich’s Information and Advice Service. To be responsible for the effective delivery of the I&A Service which will be delivered through a range of channels, including face to face, telephone, email, digital, and other means, across the Bromley and Greenwich boroughs.

Key Responsibilities:

Line management and supervision

• Provide line management and supervision to advisers and support staff.
• Supervising team advice sessions and casework
• Manage the practicalities of the advice session and ensure adequate staffing and resources.
• Undertake monthly supervision with individual team members and annual appraisal.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in East Sussex for a highly motivated and committed Family Worker to build on a well-established commissioned service.   

About the Role:  

Kinship is the leading kinship care charity in England and Wales. We work with all kinship carers – the grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and family friends who are caring for children when their parents can’t.  

We’re seeking an experienced Family Worker who is passionate about supporting kinship carers to get the right support at the right time. We are looking for someone who has the interpersonal and partnership skills to perform their role sensitively and creatively while also meeting reporting and impact requirements. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with East Sussex County Council and will share their ambition to support families to keep their children safe through support, advice and guidance.

You’ll be delivering our Kinship Connected programme offering support to special guardians and other kinship carers, providing emotional and practical support to carers in their homes and in the community over a six-month intervention cycle. You’ll also connect them with other kinship carers through peer support groups, as well as supporting to unlock community assets.   

This is a role where you’ll need to have strong boundaries and personal resilience – which we’ll also support through development and reflective practice.
